OK I am getting the new tow rig this week in anticipation of getting a SAN in the next few months. Now that my search is beginning in earnest I am looking for recommendations. The problem is that I live on a mildly brackish river. Most of my riding will take place upriver where salt will not be much of a concern. I will however be making some trips down the intercoastal in pretty salty water. I am meticulous with my toys so I will obviously be flushing regardless. I also know that many of the dangers of salt use are overhyped if the boat is well cared for (which mine will be). As I see it, my best option would be to get a zr6 (would also like the extra power). If I can't find a zr6 when the time comes, I would next opt for a coastal edition (maybe out of $ range since they are newer) or a boat w/ aftermarket closed cooling. My last option would be to go w/ the 343 and just be diligent about flushing. I am new to boat ownership but have been around boats for most of my life so I am not a total newbie. Am I missing anything here? Any other things I should consider? TIA and can't wait to join the family.
