Can anyone post pictures of the different generations of flight control towers

I have heard a lot about the different generations of the FCT that are on the SAN. I am in the process of purchasing a 2002 SS and am going to be converting it to a SAN, so I was wondering what my options are. I know that new dimension towers puts out a tower similar to the OEM, but I am not sure which generation it is and what (if any) my other options are.
    THanks for your help

What are the names of the different generation FCT's to the year they are on... I have a 2004 SAN 210 TE and was wondering what is involved in changing it out with a FCT from a 2006 SAN 210 TE.

Not sure on that one, I dont even know if they had different names for them until they had options... Also if your looking at swaping out your tower, I would turn you away from it unless the drill pattern is the same. Every time you drill your putting youself at risk of damage and weakening your hull. JMO

If you do decide to remount a new tower (I agree with verhagmr though), I recommend using an addition backer plate in conjunction witht he metal on typically provided witht he tower. I usually place at least a length of 3/4 inch ply contoured to the inside of the top cap or gunwale. It usually is about 12-18 inches long x 3 inches (or more) wide. I routher the edges with a round-over bit and epoxy/fiberglass it. I place this right against the inside of the hull and then place the metal backer plate on the other side of it. It take longer screws but the benefit is that it diffuses the stress placed on the hull immensely. If it is done right, most spider cracks, and worse case scenarios (hull fractures) are a thing of the past.

Sorry... I didn't mean to hijack you thread... I wasn't sure if the tower on my 2004 SAN and the ones that come on the 2006 SAN would mount the same... I really don't want to make anymore holes on my boat. I thought if I could just unbolt one and replace it with the other, it might be something I'd look into...

Yeah dizzyj, you're right... I was just trying to quickly post some pictures up. I ment to put one up thats on the 230/236 but accidentally put that Titan tower pic up...

So ignore the white boat's tower and look at this one... Do I have them all now? Sorry guys

I think Verhagmr's post cover it. This covers the years and models for each photo.

                  Verhagmr's photos from top left:

1st photo= FCT first gen (Unknown years)
                  2nd photo= FCT second gen (?-2003 & 2005)
                  3rd photo= FCT third gen (2004)
                  4th photo= FCT fourth gen (2006-current FCT1)
5th photo= Unkown, but I dont think it was ever avail for the 210
                  6th photo= FCT2 or Titan (2008-current)
                  7th photo= FCT3 (2009-current)

                  Vehagmr's second post:
                  FCT4 (2010)

The width should be the same on all the towers prior to 2007 (they widened the hull in 07), but I'm sure the holes wont line up from gen to gen.
