    '04 Air 211 - Length with trailer?

    Hi all:

I'm considering buying my first Nautique, an 04 Air 211. Does anyone happen to know the length including the trailer with swing away tongue.

Anyone have any thoughts they can share about the 211? Also may look at an '05 210.

    Thanks!

the pro's and con's of the 211 have been discussed on this board many times before, I suggest you try searching around this site for previous discussion on this subject.

I bought my 211 new in 2005 and frequently ski, wakeboard, surf, and even barefoot behind mine. For slalom the wake is not that friendly, not as friendly as CC would like you to think. For wakeboarding the wakes tend to be midsized or very lippy, difficult/impossible to make big and rampy. Surfing behind the is quite good, even surfable with stock ballast alone. Barefooting is tough, big trough and foamy table, still very doable. If I were starting over, I am not sure the 211 would be my first choice, I still like the boat but there are other options today.

Thanks Mikeski. What are your thoughts on the 210? I am looking at a 2005 210 as well, but thought the 211 was better because of what I had read (on the CC website) about a decent slalom wake. However, I am looking to wakeboard/surf as well. Coming from a 2005 Tahoe Q6 i/o, so thought that 211 wake couldn't be worse than that for slalom skiing.

Clearly this will be my first time in wakeboarding boat, so any thoughts appreciated.

Also, I see from your profile that you are from SF area. Where do you go out on the water? There is some talk in my current job about being relocated to SF area, and worried about making this investment, and then being relocated to SF and having no where to use it!

      Thanks!

I too have a 2006 211. I agree that CC makes the boat sound more universal than it really is. I also have a SN 206 and much perfer to slalom and barefoot behind that. When we take trips though I do take the 211 and do slalom with it. If you shorten your length to 26 off or so, the wake becomes much nicer. I would stay clear of the 210 if you are planning to do any slalom skiing. I have skied behind the 210 and the wake is just monstrous!
