how did you blow out the stock thru hull from 3/4" to 1 1/4" thru hull?

I am also planning on using the stock thru hulls in the rear and using the glove box drain for the locker overflow... for these thru hulls did you use the factory hoses plumbed into the hard tanks for your bags?

I didn't know the phython was an option on DD air's, that thing must be a beast!

I know that some Pro Airs are Pythons. Not sure about regular Airs.

I also am interested about how you swapped the scoop for a larger mushroom throughhull. I'm worried about a disaster happening while trying to get the stock scoop out.

Ok, I have some FINAL questions:

I am contemplating how many thru hulls to have for the system. Does each pump need its own thru hull? and what size is appropriate? What are the current nautiques coming with from the factory (size thru hull and hose)?

I wanted to run them all off one intake so I could flush the system, but my friend who is a mechanic told me it would be a better operating system with dedicated thru hulls because pumps would steal from one another and have the possibility to run dry.

Also, my system is a 3 bag system with a bag in the locker and two in the trunk. I am planning to vent the rear sacks with the stock thru hulls, but am looking for a thru hull for the locker bag. I had thought that the cooler drain had its own thru hull, but heard that just drains to the bilge. Are there any stock thru hulls I can pirate or repurpose for the center bag vent or do I need to drill a new one?

Anyone with a DD thought about (or better yet done) installing the pumps under the rear bench seat? Perhaps a mounting board could be built with the pumps placed under the seat. I think (but am not sure) there is enough room and pathways around the gas tank for the hoses. That would free up all the space in the rear locker for the bags. It would make it a bit of a hassle to monitor the pumps and change the impellers, but my seat is not that hard to remove, and doing it once every year or two is not a big deal.

You can run all three pumps off of one 1 1/2" thru hull. I've been doing it for almost 7 years now on my system.

I don't think there is room underneath the bench seat although there is room next to the seat under the gunnel. Especially if you take out the hard tanks there should be plenty of room there.
