fresh water cooling !!!

i have a 1995 ski nautique and my boat has now fresh water cooling. Do eny of you know if the engine needs a fresh water cooling system to sail in the ocean.

The engine is a:

Pcm ford GT40 pro boss 5,8

Fresh water cooling is most certainly a plus when operating in salt. I would still flush it after each use if I were you. The exhaust manifolds and certain other parts are still cooled by raw sea water, and those parts will deteriorate if you do not flush it after each use.

The Pro-Boss 5.8 is not a GT-40. It is very similar, but there are some differences. Please see THIS THREAD for more information.
