Maybe just me but to me the 230 has a longer wake width wise in the and not as steep; and the 210 has a steep shorter wake.
interesting. I have not ridden on a new 210, but my 230 has what I consider to be a quite narrow and steep wake. Not quite an old super air nautique steap, but very similar to my old 2000 xstar, just bigger.
I've heard that the new 210 was rampier and wider than then old 210, so I assumed it was rampier and wider than the 230. This is assuming added wieght. I run ~3500lbs in my 230
I've had 2 230's and several of my friends have newer 210s. The 210 and 230 wakes are similar. I actually like the 210 wake better when weighted than my 230 wake. I used to have an 02 xstar and both wakes remind me of the wake behind the old xstar, except the 210 and 230 wakes are wider. It seems that the 230 wake is a bit wider than the 210 wake at the same length out. The 210 wake just seems to have a nicer lip and is more consistent at 75 feet with an extra 2-2.5k lbs over stock ballast.
Either way, you can't go wrong, but if you ride a sacked out boat alot, be aware that the 230 wake is tempermental in wind or mildly rough water when weighted heavy.

In my opinion when both boats are sack out, the 230 drives much better than the 210, the 210 doesn't handle the extra weight as well because of less planning surface than the 230.

I heard Jeff Mckee talking on stoke meter back in the fall about how he was given the option for the bigger 230 this year. He had been one of the only guys left riding the 210. In my opinion if they are getting a boat (free or minimal cost) to use why not get the bigger boat.
