Need help quickly with our 05 order

    Hello all,

I need siome quick answers from people in the know. My girklfriend and I are upgrading from a Malibu Response to an 05 SAN ltd edition. Up till today our order was finalised, until a last minute spanner was thrown in the works. Our Australian dealer is visiting the factory in Florida and he has just come back to me with some items that are missing on the order.

To fill you all in a little, we had to take a pre-ordered boat from our dealer to avoid a 3 month wait for a new boat. We had a specific options list in mind and all but two of these were filled, the exceptions were Perfect pass Wakeboard Pro & bow modules.

Now I am not overly concerned about the PP as I can definately source it here for very similar $$, however, it will not be a Nautique branded PP unit, it will be a std Perfect pass 5" dial, again not totally fussed about that.

My concern is the Bow modules, can't understand how these are not a std fitment, but I would like to know what the bow is like without them. Are there any cupholders at all? Will I be able to fit a set of speakers up there anyway? I knwo it seems like a little thing, but it is important to us to have the people in the bow with somewhere to put their drink and have some tunes to listen to.

I can order a new boat & have it fast tracked but it still means waiting until January for it to arrive rather than early December... What do you all think?

Thanks in advance for your help & input...

    Steve

    Hello!

My best advice to you is to hold out and get the boat you have paid your hard-earned $ for. Take it from me, waiting for the boat you want is worth the extra weeks even if it is 6 or more AND your skiing season has already started. If you are going to keep it for more than a season and want to make it your boat WAIT. IT IS WORTH IT!!! I made the horrible mistake of taking delivery on a boat that was not exactly what we had ordered. It went from being MY boat, to a MISTAKE I made in accepting it from the dealer. My bad. Don't make it yours!!

    Good luck whatever you choose!!

Get what you want - and only what you want. If you keep your boat, the month wait will be forgotten but the missing options will not.
If you change boats yearly -who cares! The next one will be what you want and you get an awesome ride.
The choice is yours - don't let a little bit o' time muss up a happy, long relationship!!

      Cheers!

BTW - we wanted a TEAM w/o the Fiberglass platform,w/o the bow modules and altered graphics. A few little things that gummed up the timing (and the price a little) but we keep our Nautis for years and it was what we wanted...........

Well I think we have got it figured out...

PP can be added when the boat is delivered which is no worries, I was worried about the bow modules, but from what I can figure out a 210 LE still comes with 4 cup holders and two speakers up in the bow... the bow modules simply do the same thing in a well finished package package

I have attached a pitcture of what I think is the bow modules... can someone tell me if I am right?

        Cheers

        Steve

I am hoping that this is what our bow in our new 210 will look like but with black & titanium accents... Again, if someone can ste me straight, that would be great...

Your second pic of the 05 bow is the bow on the 210 series. The first pic of a blue and white bow is bow modules on a 216 or 206. Your 210 will be the bottom pic.

              Mate,
You should definately wait for what you want. As the others have said, you will always wish you had. I purchassed a used SN without most of the options I wanted, but finding a good Nautique in Oz is hard as they are hard to come by unless you buy new.

Seeing as you have to pay for freight from US to here on top of the purchase price, I'd definately be getting exactly what I wanted.!

              PS,
If you're dealing with the "dealer" at Wisemans Ferry, make sure you get what you want. I looked at one of his used Nautiques. He neglected to inform me that the boat that looked ok in the photos and had all the options I wanted was a dog in real life.! Not happy seeing I drove down from Brisbane to buy it.

Have you looked at importing it yourself.?

I have a 2005 sante and never had someone use the drink holders in the front. No one likes riding in the bow- it is rough. I would not worry about it.

A standard 210 Limited doesn't come with bow speakers, you may want to talk to your dealer about this if you want them installed at the factory. The 210 Team does come with the bow speakers installed as a standard item.

I think you should take advantage of the cup holders on the 210 b/c they are great for leaving small bottles of water in and won't bounce out like ours on the 216 cup holders...

Bow cup holders in the 210 are standard in any package Signature Limited or Team

Thanks for all your input guys, we have found out that, while the boat has not been ordered with bow modules, it has been ordered with Bow speakers so that keeps me happy. We have also negotiated for P/P to be added & it will be a nautique unit, so again happy days.

So here is what the boat will be:

                          SAN 210 LE 330hp excalibur
                          FCT with clips
                          Bimini
Titan Alpha 1 tower speakers (4)
                          Perfect pass WB pro
                          Heater & Shower
3 tank Ballast with Helm control
                          Composite platform
                          Mooring cover
                          2 x Image Dynamic IDQ10 subs
2 x Kicker KX300.4 amps (not finalised yet)
                          Flush Kit
                          Rear Tow pylon

We didn't get to choose the colors, but we are pretty happy with them anyway... We would have picked all white with metalic silver accent tape, but we ended up with these colors

Now we are very happy, as the only differnece between this and our original boat design is the colors...

Those are very classy colors and I love them! We were this close to getting it in that color if we didnt' decide to have a blue in it. I think Mid-Ohio had one just like that last yr and it looked awesome!
