    05 color combo

What do you guys think of this combo? Silvercloud everywhere except for the secondary stripe which is vapor blue. I am debating on all black accent tape or black on the bottom and silver metallic on the top. In the interior, it would be black primary, vapor blue secondary with either a silver metallic piping or black piping. Any opinions? Anotherthought is to have silver metallic accent tape on the top and bottom and then have silver metallic piping on the inside and leave the primary and secondary on the interior the same.

I will post pics from the color selector but it looks like the "add attachment" function isn't working right now. Atleast not for me.

Regarding the interior, I personally think the Silver Metallic Piping does go well with the blue and black. Since Black will be your primary, the piping will be up aainst the black, so I'm not sure if black piping would look good next to a black primary stripe. However, if you primary was the blue, you could go either way, black or silver piping, they both look great. I'll get a pic of some more of the silver piping w/ blue primary when i get home... or actually is right here.

On the attached picture - What is that beautiful boat doing on that junk trailer...?

What about Vapor Blue hull and Deck with a white stripe and black accent tape on the stripe? That would look nice. The colored hull and deck would contrast the white interior and compliment the white stripe on the hull. And the blue and black stripes on the interior would compliment the hull.

Ok... I admit, that's how I'd order it!

Good luck with what ever you decide!

          Junk trailer ?
          what do you mean?

only joking. the lake is about 30foot away so we only use it to pull the boat out for the winter.

Sounds good, only if we could get a colored deck...

Since you can't get a colored deck, I find that a colored tower "compliments" the interior color being that the only color on the inside would be just one small stripe...

I'd order a boat like this, silvercloud hull and main stripe with the secondary being red, black, or the dark blue. Accent tape depends on the secondary stripe, and no overgrown ugly stickers, see lcap's boat.

skinautique, sounds like a good combo...i just like the secondary to pop a little more.
              I don\'t care.

The reason I was doing no primary color is because the silver cloud will hide the scratches better. They won't show all of the dings from the skis. We have one now that is black on the primary and it shows all of the scuffs.

skinautique, how do you get scratches on the gelcoat where the primary stripe is? Even when the boat is in the water, the bottom of the primary stripe is still at least a couple of inches above the surface, much more than the height of a slalom ski. (not including binding of course) The only way I could think of scratches getting there are if careless people deliberatly (sp?) were to nock the ski into it when holding it up, as if to put it on the platform. I can understand why you may want a white hull, b/c thats where all the crap in the lake hits first and skis and stuff, but primary stripe, I think its safe to go with a color there frankly.

It is mainly the corners that get beat up. The sides take a little bit of abuse as well. With the people that use the boat, it is easy to understand how it gets beat up but that is all part of the game!

I don't want to be rude but I don't think I'd be cought dead saying that. I hate it when people just assume that part of owning a car or boat is it getting beat up and sractched and damaged. At least I try to make it a priority to make scratches and damage not part of the Nautique experience. I would rather spend my time yelling at friends to watch out and don't mess up my $50,000+ boat then just get a boring, simple colored boat and let them beat the crap out of it. Just seems like much more sense.

When I was on vacation in ME and the engine box popped open while I was docking and shut the engine off since there were kids around, we were still driting and the bow hit pretty hard in the corner of the dock, right where the only metal is. I was pissed as **** from the gashes in the bow. No one understood my anger, I didn't get how.

The picture I posted is of a Ski School boat, they chose the colour scheme for the exact reason that skinautique mentions, easy to look after, easy to repair and it looks smart.
what about a red one ?

red is doable and so is a midnight blue. We will see what happens.

look at that nasty hull.. oh... god... that would be stressing me out. I don't think i could get anything done at work knowing the hull was in that shape.
