Help need pics of coversports cover

    Hey gang,
I was hoping someone had or could possibly take pics of the ratcheting system used to hold the cover under the rub rail and the clip system used to hold it to the rub rail.I am still going back and forth between the coversports and a custom made snap cover.

I'm a little late to the post, but if you have any further questions, I'll be glad to try to answer them. This is a bit redundant of the other thread, but it never hurts to mention something again. The rub rail hooks are velcro'd to the cover. The turnbuckle/ratchet is to keep the draw string extra tight. Here's how Brent told me to put the cover on.

        1. Put it loosely over the boat. One note, I got one of those soft child car seat strap pads and wrapped it around the draw string where it is exposed under the bow section of the cover so that it wouldn't rub on the gel coat.
        2. Attach the center strap to the rear grab rail on the boat. Adjust for moderate tension. Make sure your draw string and ratchet are below the rub rail before you do this.
        3. On either side of the boat, pop the rub rail hooks under the rub rail.
        4. Pop the four remaining transom rub rail hooks under the rub rail and tighten them up. Tighten the grab rail strap.
        5. Make sure the cover is below the rub rail all the way around (especially at the corners where the sides of the boat meet the transom.
        6. Tighten the turn buckle so that the draw string is cinched tight. Wrap the webbing/padding around the turnbuckle.

When I got my cover, the turn buckle was not tied to the draw string. Not much too this, but it's something I had to do. I'd also recommend taking a flame to the ends of the strap webbing so they don't fray.

Also, I have trailered with this cover. There is very little, if any movement. However, with a seventy mile per hour wind, anything made of sunbrella is going to flap a little in the breeze. I determined that I was happier trailering without the cover installed if I was going on the highway. I suspect it will last longer for the lack of wear. I suspect that is true of any cover of this type.

It was around $750 shipped, I had a few extras also. I had Brent reinforce around windshield for towing and the mirror, and had him add extra padding in the rear by the straps.

Does anyone besides me have problems getting their cover between the bow and the crash pads? No matter how much room I have when I pull the boat out of the water, it is pretty tight against the crash pads by the time I get home.

heres the trick - make sure you have an inch or a bit less than an inch of space between the bow & the pads. Dont ratchet it too tight. Just the first click that its snug - thats all you need. Make sure your rear tie downs are on tight. - youre good.

                            Tumac makes great covers too.

Mine was about $500 from Paul Seaton Sales in Counce, TN.
