    wakesurfing today

Just got back from wakesurfing today. water was 63 and air was 72. wind was blowing 15-25 mph, but we found a cove off the main lake that was glass. was pretty nice. Rode my new Ronix board.

all in all, a good day, except the speeding ticket on the way to the lake. can't wait for summer.

it is a Ronix Caption - I bought it to have an extra board for visitors on the board. I ordered a Shred Stixx also, but it hasn't arrived yet.

Do you like the swallow tail? I am looking into one of the new inland surfer boards. Look pretty sweet

not sure about the swallow tail - today was the first time i rode it. the board is reallly loose and i don't like the fins on it. it doesn't grab enough.

I have a couple of 4'6-9" boards that are shaped a bit more like skim boards and have the single fin. They are pretty loose too. I am looking for more of the surfboard feel

if you are looking for something more surf like, the shred stixx is the way to go.

shred stixx is by the far the best, most fun surf board i have been on behind the boat. i have the comp I and have zero desire to even put anything else in the boat.

judging by the looks alone, the shred stixx, depending on model is going to blow that ronix away. Shred Stixx makes surfers, thats what and all they do. Ronix makes wakeboards.

TRO, you WILL NOT be disspointed with the shred stixx. i hope you ordered the comp I or ja mako? hopefully the comp I. its the sickest thing i have ever been on. but you have a be a pretty profiecient surfer. its extremely agressive and agile.

i actually grew up surfing so i really wanted a surf-type wakesurf board. i only bought the ronix for guests to use, but since my other board hasn't come in yet, i was testing out the Ronix. The looseness of it sucks, but I wanted something to practice on until my other board comes in.

Jimmy: i ordered a 2010 Custom Hazen Elevation which is pretty similar to the Comp 1, but with a bat wing tail. I ordered it at the beginning of February. I'm hoping the shaper will be finished with it soon and it will ship in the next couple of weeks.
