    SkiSafe V Progressive

I got a quote from Progressive and SkiSafe and they were virtually the same. Sounds like most folks have had good experiences with SS, so that is good enough for me. Besides, I am not a progressive kind of guy, so I hate to send my money to a company with values so different from my own.

i have always used progressive. my agent is a fellow wakeboarder and owns his insurance company. i am going to get a quote from ss tomorrow, and go over my progressive policy since it's up for renewal at the end of the month. i'll post my details after i get new quotes. the two speeding tickets really make the premiums sky rocket. and the bad thing is i'll only have one, after july, but i have to renew this month.

Agree. I actually have USAA for everything else and was told they have boater's insurance. On the long trip to get my boat, I called USAA and said "sure" they took all my data and then told me they sub'd boaters out to progressive. That kind of chapped me but I never changed it. Maybe now is the time.

Tool - I have USAA for everything else as well. I too was bummed when they passed me on to the General Agency (aka Progressive) for my boat quote. Progressive was at least a 1/3 more expensive than what I ended up getting through BoatUS, and BoatUS seems to be parity with SS, at least in my case. I'll definitely look into SS when I'm up for renewal. BoatUS has been great, but wouldn't mind supporting a PN sponsor especially if it doesn't cost me anymore, and may even be a bit less.

i just called ski safe. i was skeptical from the start when i heard the woman's accent on the recording. turns out they won't write any policies if your boat is used in salt water(in my case brackish). looks like i'll be sticking with progressive.

I've been with Ski Safe for almost five years now. Great pricing, highly recommended.

I almost did for my swim platform. But after talking with them it wasn't worth it as high as my deductible is. But they were helpful at that point and willing to do whatever I wanted.

I have used Ski-Safe for 6 years now and they are great. They had no problem at all with giving me the upgraded liability required to pull USAWSA Kneeboard and Hydrofoil events.

I have been with SS since my first boat in 94. No claims. The prices and coverage have been the best that I can find. I check every year to make sure that I am paying as low as possible. I highly recommend.

I just got a quote from Ski Safe and it was almost $200 more than my current carrier for 1/3 the coverage.

Wow. My carrier for the Gekko was a little more than SkiSafe is on my CC (and twice the value). And my carrier on the Gekko handles ALL my other stuff.
