    2005 Towers

I have ordered a 2005 210 SANTE. I have been told by my dealer that CC is not painting towers for 05, but he can have it come ready to paint rather than polished. Is it still possible to have 05 towers painted from the factory?? Is this (has it been) an added cost??

    Thanks for the info!!

They haven't been offered as painted from the factory for a few years (actually, I don't think that they have been painted in special colors from the factory ever). This is a cost that you pay and it gets done locally.

I understand that you can get Ram-Lin to paint the tower which sort of makes it a factory option, but CC will deny that.

i would choose powder coating over paint on a fct. most powder coaters can get a wide range of colors to match any cc gel coat color. if you want the extreme remove the windsheild and have the frame done to match. make sure the powder coater puts something inside the windsheild frame to prevent making the channel to thin with the coating. but thats just my $.02. congrats on the '05! i'm green with envy. one of these days.....

Unless i'm mistaken the boats are shipped with the windshield disassembled It might be a good time to powder coat it before assembly by your dealer

the windsheilds are assembeld but not mounted. the frame will have to be disassembeld and coated then reassembeld and mounted. i would mount the windsheild prior to coating to ensure proper fit. we have done a few here at swcc and man it really increases the pimpability factor. good luck!

I am talking to my dealer about the possibility of tradeing up to a new SV-211 Team. The one thing I have been really disappointed in is the new annadised (spelling) towers. The new 05's I saw on his lot, the pipe was annadised before it was bent, this makes the area where it has been bent look different than the unbent areas. Come on guys, that looks like crap!!!!!!!

Well, I stopped by Crowe Marine in Eaton GA. last wednesday on the way home from a hunting trip in south Georgia. I looked at the new 05's he had in stock and was pleased to see that the prob with the annadised towers has been fixed. He told me that it was a big consern at the winter dealers meeting. Good to see CC respond so quickly. The tower looked much better. I also picked up a new Accurte rope and handle while I was there.
