I agree, not sure what you really want to hear. I almost regret writing what I did. It is a great product and I have no plans on taking it off.
I was just trying to give you the 2 small things I've noticed since putting it on. The effect on steering is negligible. When I first put on FAE, I was in a marina and had to do some very tight manuevers. I knew precisely when to turn my wheel. The FAE changed that slightly because it does serve a little like a rudder back there. But, if I would not have been making such precise manuevers, I would have never noticed it. I am now trailering my boat and you wouldn't know the difference.

I want to hear that this product has no impact at all on the ski wake or the handling of the boat. So far it seems to have an impact on both, i guess i would need to see for myself if i can live with it or not. It would be interesting if third party did some water testing with a ski boat and a wakeboard boat and then report the results.

      thanks for the feedback.

There are a few third party tests, but they are based on improved air quality and noise reduction. This product is not made for the slalom skier that needs the perfect wake. It is made for the wakesurfer that is concerned about his family’s health. Air quality is only improved at slow speeds and is most beneficial to the people sitting in the rear seat.

I have never heard of anyone removing their FAE because it has affected the wake or handling. If you have seen one installed and have a basic understanding of hydrodynamics, you would not be concerned. It only directs exhaust into the prop wash to disperse gasses away from the boat. If it extended low enough to affect wake, it would be torn off by the force of the water at speed. I don’t know about reverse, but all inboards handle like crap in reverse anyway.

This is a great product, but it sound like it’s something that you really don’t have a need for. Save you money.

***never mind, I just saw your now looking for a group buy*****

Sounds like you need to get behind a boat with one doing whatever you intend to do(ski, board, etc).
That sounds like the only way you'll be able to know.

I am really only interested because we are now surfing behind the boat, I am willing to try one and see how it goes, if not they will return your money...FAE stands behind what they make so i will give it a go. thx.
