Is this the best system out there? I know the website says that it does not affect the wake for skiing or wakeboarding but is that what people who have it installed are experiencing? Is it really needed i guess too?
thanks Jeff

I believe that FAE has the patent, so it will be you’re only CC aftermarket option. I don’t have one, but the pipe does not extend down far enough to affect the wake. It is one of the few upgrades / aftermarket parts that get almost no complaints (from what I have read). It’s a must have if you surf a lot.

k found what i was referring to earlier, are these available for Nautiques? Do they do the job like FAE?
Turn Down STE Stainless Exhaust Port (each)
Product Description:
This stainless steel turn down silent tip exhaust port with built in baffle, does not need flappers. Helps eliminate exhaust noise and helps reduce exposure of carbon dioxide to riders.
Fits on Malibu's with 3 1/2 inch exhaust (most models 1996 to current)

FAEs are great. I put on a Ski Nautique that is pretty much only used for slalom and I really like it. If I was surfing, it would be a must.

It also causes the boat to steer just a tad slower because it's acting like a rudder back there, but only noticeable doing very tight maneuvers going very slow.

the ski wake is the same as far as I can tell. There is a small rooster tail at skiing speeds, but it's not an issue for me.

I have not noticed mine affect steering. That does not mean that it doesn't affect it slightly, it just means that I have not noticed it.
As far as that other product goes, it may or may not reduce much carbon dioxide, but that is pretty irrelevant, since it is carbon monoxide that is the killer. I have noticed a definite improvement in smell, or lack thereof, since installing mine, and used to get headaches often after a day on the boat, and since installing don't remember any (except when I catch an edge and do a major slap on the water).
If you surf a lot or short-line wakeskate a lot, I would definitely get one. If not, then it is less important, but still helpful to those who sit in the back seat.
I did have to put the hose clamps on the opposite way they tell you to keep it from coming off the exhaust flange. Since then, no problems. Now
