What with the condescending remark? Please tell me what was misinformation about what I posted. I'm an engine builder and was actually part of the original outside development team that SVT used to validate their idea for the 93 cobras and 93 Lightning. We had engines on our engine dyno in early 91 with GT40 heads on them, both 302 and 351. I also had an preproduction 93 cobra mule car to drive in late 91. The 302 uses smaller head fasteners than the 351W. In casting them for the 302, they were then able to port them to the 351 application by a simple machining operation as opposed to casting and pouring two different heads. You asked a question as to why you have to drill out most for a 351 and that's the answer.

Hey bobchris. Try learning how to read and write the English language before you start in with your bashing. Shane said they weren't designed for the 351. That is a contraction for "were not".

Just teasing you. I'm sure it was an honest mistake.

Well I think I found a reman marine motor for $1700 shipped no core. Seem like a good deal?

Well, there's a big difference in what a "reman marine engine" could actually consist of. Do you have details?

He said for additional $200 it will have GT 40 heads on it. What other details are you talking about?

For an additional $200 for GT40 heads, that's a pretty **** good deal. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the high volume oil pump. That is NOT needed for this app, unless the bearing clearances are loose. But it won't hurt anything having it.

Yes it will! HV oil pump require HV oil pans. At high RPM's the pan will be sucked dry before the oil can drain back to the pan. Replace with a factory pump and move on.
