SAN 230 Color Schemes

In the process of ordering a 2010 230 Team. I am ordering it with the FCT4 tower b/c I just don't like the way the 3 looks, but I can't figure out what colors I want to go with.

I am leaning to all black, but all white is in the back of my mind as well. I don't care too much for the graphics so I'm having it ordered with just the "Super Air Nautique" lettering down the side and come up w/my own graphics in the form of a wrap if I do anything at all.

Wondering if you guys could post some picks of your favorite color schemes or any advice.

How about all black or all white with a colored top stripe just to add a little something to it. Then you would be able to add a colored pinstripe to the interior as well. I like all black with a patriot red top stripe or all black with a green top stripe. If you are not going to have a decal on the side, then I think you need something else to break it up a little, although all black and all white boats do look pretty sick...

I say go with white just because I don't like the way all black looks since you can't make the entire deck black. I played around and thought a white boat with either black deck and top stripes, or white with gunmetal metallic deck and top stripes. I always choose the darker interior choices because they show dirt less and then you can choose whatever piping choice you like.

FWIW, I did like a white hull with black top and bottom hull colors and black deck stripe. Put a black tower on either of the color combos and I would like it.

I agree...and if you go all white, make the tower white too IMO

Only thing that worries me about all white is the water I ride in. We ride in a river so it's brown water b/c of muddy bottom! Anyone run an all white boat in muddy water conditions?? Does it stain terribly bad??

FYI, I ordered a solid white 230 with a white FCT3, wing graphics w chromax. Get a solid black boat instead so you don't copy me man!!! hahaha.

You have a valid concern about dirty water staining a white boat. Luckily, my water is clean and I only keep a boat for a year anyway.

The hull on most boats are white, as long as you clean it you won't have a problem. We keeps ours on dirty lakes and have never had a problem.

Is everyone going with the FCT3 tower these days?? I'm not sure I like the swirl in it! It looks a lot better w/the bimini up than it does w/o but still think I like the 4 better. Do they look better in person than in pictures?

Okay, I really had to see what those color combos look like without the graphics... I like the darker lettering better.

Yep, the darker lettering on the black looks great. See my 2008 for an example. I really like how that boat turned out.

i personally would never allow a white hull on a boat of mine unless the thing was all white. even though white is slick it looks alot like your average fishing boat. i like murdered out boats, but with an all white interior w/ maybe a black pinstripe to match. i never understood having deep colors covering vinyl that can burn your feet like hot pavement. think to yourself if you want to stand out for being brightly colored or being subtle yet noticeable. if you go with the scheme above i'd change the pin to red.
