Looking for opinions on Nautique Docking Lights

While I'm impatiently waiting for my 05' SV211 Team Edition I'm reconsidering the Docking Lights Option. I rarely use boats in non-day light hours so I didn't order my new boat with the lights. However, I do think they add to the look of the boat! I'm curious to see how everyone feels about this option/look and if there are any other benefits/drawbacks to adding the lights. I've included a photo from the CC website. My boat will be Midnight Blue (base) with Titanium Grey stripe. Opinions???

I have the docking lites on mine and I have used them a time or two. I look at it like this, "It's better to have them and not need them, than to need them and not have them".

How much are they? Are they standard on the TEAM models?

Seems like they were a few hundred dollars on the '04 option list.
Since I'd probably never use them, I viewed them as something else to break or get damaged - so I passed on the option.

I ordered them on my 05 210 team. no they are not standard. they are an option. not sure on price. I think they look good and are functional. they are good for spotting objects in the water at night that reflect. bouys etc. I guess I like the look and not having unused switches.. lol. whats a couple hundred more when we are talking 60K+.

Dont have docking lights, but tower lights, but when it comes to lighting up the lake at night, its all the same. Docking lights are great b/c you can use them at a popular marina or when people are on land and they won't blind them at all. They do light up every little bouy (sp?) like magic and definately a great option to have if you will be our on the lake at least once at night.

I decide to order my boat with them. They are a little over $200. That is nothing compared to what you spend on a new boat.
Thinking about times, when I have to pick my friends at the dock during house boat trips at night.

Sounds like the general consensus is good from both a functional and appearance perspective. Time to add one more option....

                    Thanks!

Like CDM said, no unused switches!
I don't know if they are functional, but it looks good (imho) with the docking lights...

You won't be sorry. I've always had them on my Cobalts and ordered them on my 05 SV-211 Team. I am out at night once in a while and they are great when pulling into my boat lift in the dark. I also think they look great.

I have them on my 04 and they are well useful especially when loading the boat on the trailer at night. I would go for them. The only problem is that with tower lights it adds upto about 500w of lighting so be aware of the power consumption.

The price on my 2005, 211 for the docking light option was $225.
