    Flyhigh integrated system

    I installed the integrated system in my 09 210 and am having a couple issues. I thought i would check here before contacting flyhigh. First, the bow sac is filling up with a ton of air, I thought the thing was going to pop. I had to take the front top fitting off a few times to bleed the air, and then it fills up with water and works like it's supposed to. If the water is eventually getting to the overflow line, why is it filling with air? Second, the boat was porpoising like crazy. Not sure if i need to add more weight to the bow. Any insight would be great, thanks

    The model and year of your boat and how much weight where might help people determine the problem?

      As for the bow sac I would guess the pump doesn't prime correctly but that's just a guess, hardly even an educated one!

        awoollie, I have found that the first couple times out I have to burp my ballast bags as well. After they have been filled and emptied a few times you shouldn't have anymore issues with the air in the bags.

        As far as the porpoising problem a lot of us have issued this. There are a couple options you can do to resolve this.
        1. Use the hydrogate to eliminate the porpoising when it occurs. You have to push the lever forward to stop the porpoising and then move it back once it stops. You can also move the lever if you see you are about to cross some chop to keep it from happening.

        2. Spend the money to get a new antenna and software update which I think is BS since this is a zero off and CC issue. The consumer should not have to pay anymore money out of our pockets when they both (CC and Zero off) know about the issue. It honestly has me so upset that I will definately consider another manufacturer on my next new boat purchase. That and the fact that CC can't seam to keep a dealer in my area for more than a couple years since they have dropped The Navigation Company a few years back, who was a CC dealer for 20 or 30 plus years.

        3. Put more weight in the front of your boat. I just started doing it this year and am having good luck with it. I put another ballast bag on the floor between the front seats and use a psunami pump to fill it (it is a big PITA) but it is better than the above two choices in my opinion. I am using a 400lb V drive sac but it does not fill all the way. The boat performs much better with it but you have to be extra careful not to take a wave over the nose of the boat.

        I would be happy if CC could resolve this problem with all of us loyal customers before we become not so loyal. I never had any problems in my 07 that was equipped the perfect pass. Also if you run in rivers you have to adjust your speed depending on which way you are heading and how strong the current is. Maybe Zero off is great for slalom skiers but it has seamed to cause a lot of problems for the wakeboarding community. Hope this info helps you.

          I would suggest if you do the upgrade just try doing only the software at first. That is what I did with my boat and another member here did only the software and it fixed my problems.

          I have an 08 210. I do try to run a little more weight in the front as well, but with only the update and the original antenna it fixed the porpoising on my boat and it didnt cost anything. You just have to have the cord to connect the boat to the computer which White Lake allowed me to use.

            I couldn't agree more. I use my boat on a river and it is a PITA having to manually adjust my speed depending on which direction I am going on the river. It really takes away the simplicity for potential novice boat drivers who could be with me on my boat. Like you said, both Zero Off and CC are well aware of this issue and do not seem to be interested in doing anything to make it right for the consumer. It's a great way to test brand loyalties.

              Thanks for the info guys. I read the other thread about the porpoising and issues with CC and ZO. I'm with you guys, I dont agree with it but I want the boat to work like its supposed to. With the boat surging and going crazy I'm not going to be riding very much.

              Latonka - I have probably only drained and filled the system a total of 4 times, so hopefully it will get better. Do your sacs drain completely? I had to get the pump out and probably drain 3-4 gallons out of each.

                2nd thread hijack. $400 for a new GPS reciever, on a $80K boat. Fix the **** thing already!

                  Point taken...Is there a fix for a River? Will the new antenna solve the problem? Or should I take it out and put in a Perfect Pass?

                    Why don't you try telling this to Toyota customers on their throttle issues?

                    The point here is the fact that we spend that much on a boat we shouldn't have to spend another $400.00 on making it drive the way it is supposed to.
