    HELP GT 40 wiring

I bought a 2000 Air Nautique with a blown motor that was partly disassembled. Ok so I put a new long block in and installed all the parts beck on the motor. I have a few wires on the front of the motor that I am not sure where/what they go to.

Looking from the rear of the motor:
Left side in front there are 2 tan wires with a black stripe one has a boot on it
Does one of these go to the PSI switch for oil pressure by the oil filter? (found this in the PCM manual)

Right side of the motor there are:
    Tan with a boot
    Green with a boot
    light blue with a boot
    black
Orange this I believe it gos the the large lug on the Alt right?

Thanks for the help getting excited to get this running

I hope you have downloaded the GT-40 service manual from this site. In the back of the manual are most, if not all the wiring circuits, brokren down by each system.
It is late, and I have been working on another boat all day. My 1997 ski is all covered up, but I will get it out tomorrow. I can look at its wires tomorrow.

You are not pushy, just anxious.
I found one tan w/ black stripe, single wire, with boot, comes down from mess of wires by left side of distributer. This wire went to the oil pressure switch. The oil pressure switch is the smaller sender on the fitting, on the oil galley in front of the oil filter.

There are five wires with the colors you mentioned, these come out of a loom, that is on the right side of the motor, and turns toward the center of the motor.

Tan with boot - goes to water temp sender on circulating water pump
Green with boot - goes to Alternator, a terminal toward left side of back of alternator.
Light blue with a boot - goes to oil pressure sender. This is the larger sender on the oil galley fitting, with two senders.
Black - goes to the Alternator case
Orange - this is a thicker wire that goes to the output post on the Alternator.
