Like I said earlier we are new to boarding so filling them full will probably look intimadating compared to what we have been used to.

I need my wife to ride behind them empty since thats what her ability is. We just want to get a good boat that will last us 5-7 yrs and we won't outgrow it , ability wise or size wise. I know the VLX has more room but having 6 people will be the most we carry.

all the more reason. If you keep the boat for 5 years, you have warranty on everything with the CC!! Just kidding. I know how tough it is to make these decisions. I would pay attention to little things such as visibility through the windshield (are you looking through it, over it or right at the frame), the quality of the dealership (can they handle repair work efficiently?), comfort of the seats (I sit in some of the boats and it feels like I am being pushed forward instead of being to sit in a relaxed position), how does it accelerate while under a load (ballast full, people, etc), storage if that is an issue to you, etc. These are just a few of the things to look for.
Good luck and keep us posted!

I'm hoping it will be a little windy tomorrow also so we can see how she rides in rougher water. I'm vertically challenged  5'6" so the visability is important. The wife likes the seating and comfort of the VLX better , but now has given me the OK on picking the boat. Thats scary because if she does'nt like it down the road its my fault !! The 210 was'nt in the picture, we were set on the VLX but our mortgage broker screwed up our refi which has given us 2 more weeks so I had too much time on my hands and here we are now .If we go with the 210 the Malibu guy will want to kill the mortgage guy lol
Thanks

I have an '02 SANTE, and my neighbor has a malibu DD (not sure of exact model. both boat are excellent, but totally different wakes. To be honest the wake on the Malibu is much less intemitating for a beginer, but that is not to say that it is not a great wake.
Now the SAN wake is very vertical even with no weight. As others have said though if you fill the rear tanks, you MUST add weight to the front or it starts to porpoise really bad. I like the idea of a center sack because you can add more weight tha the hard tank can, and still have the space when it is not filled.
Another idea is to not have the center tank, but add some lead to the area and not worry about filling and emptying a sac.

Dam !! another delay on my 210 demo . The mechanics are in training still is what I'v ebeen told. Was told wednesday they would be back to get the boat ready. I feel that this is an excuse, probably lost a mechanic? I could go to the Petaluma dealer but service would be my concern. We have an appointment to demo the VLX Bu @ 2:00 and was suppose to do them back to back. VERY FRUSTRATING.

The VLX was great. Never heard back from the SAN dealer. Sad was looking forward to a good comparison. Not going to beg someone to spend money with. There was a SAN out there that I wanted to wave him down and ask for a ride. Guess it was'nt meant to be . :-(

I just can't believe that dealers are treating you like this! Don't these guys realize that you're considering dropping a substantial amount of money for one of their products!?! The two dealerships that I deal with are both a LONG drive from my house, but both have provided outstanding service. I would have hoped that would be standard across CC dealerships, but I guess not. It is terrible that an experience like this is steering you away from a great product, although I honestly can't say that I blame you.I own and operate Silver Cove Marine, which is an inboard boat restoration, service, and sales facility located in Mooresville, North Carolina. We specializes in Nautiques and Correct Crafts, and also provide general service for Nautiques fifteen years old and older.
If we can be of service to you, please contact us anytime!

When your competition CC dealer is about 150 miles away and this dealer is considered the "biggest CC dealer in the world " they must figure it will sell either way. Next Tues is the soonest that we can get into the BU dealer to see if they have a boat in stock we like color wise so maybe I'll get a phone call from this CC dealer about a demo. I can get out Sat morning early (dam fog though) or Sunday Monday. I have been flexible even taking off work to accomadate him.
