    Ocean LEDs

Anyone out there have Ocean LEDs on their boat? Was thinking of putting 2 x A6s, but man they are not cheap (~$399 each). I like the Oceans because they work both in and out of water, so I can use them when backing up my trailer at night to see where I am going. Other ones appear to be made solely for underwater use. Looking for feedback on them before I drop the bucks. I saw a table that Mikeski had developed a while back. Just looking for "$800" of re-assurance I guess!

these will do fine in and out of water. backing your trailer would be no problem as bright as these are. dont forget your PN discount code (PND) for 10% off.

        LED's

I believe the attwoods will over heat if used in an out of water condition - thats why they are designed
with an off set to allow water behind the fixture.

Grant and I did quite an extensive LED test about a year ago. Here is the summary table:

a majority of them will overheat if used for an extended time out of water however, just using them to back your trailer at night should not be long enough to heat up to cause damage

I have two A3's and one A6 on my 196 - very high quality and bright lights. May not be the cheapest or brightest but I think they are worth the $$. I am in the process of ordering two more A6's.
