    Great Boat Cover

There has been a number of posts on Coversports boat covers, but I wanted to share pictures of this cover so people can see an alternative. I can't take credit for this cover, came with the boat purchased a few months ago - custom made in Dallas. The only changes I made was to install two boat vents. The only negative on the cover - the is the color is dark and therefore generates more heat than a light gray.. BUT - this is the nicest cover I have ever seen !
o Cover goes to the water line so it protects the gel coat on the side of the boat from the sun and while towing.
o Notice at the windshield, the cover is made to fit with the Bimini top down in front of the windshield. Makes for a quick setup
o Completely covers / protects the platform
o Has a cutout in the front for the boat hook
o Thick rope the runs the outer edge that pulls tight - you can see the flap that covers the rope on the side picture.
The boat was trailered with the cover on from Dallas to Raleigh NC and a round trip from Raleigh NC to West Palm Beach in March / April - no problems.
We ski in the evenings so getting the cover off and the boat in the water quickly is important. It also sits out in the sun on the trailer at a ski lake (pond), so the waterline covers protects. Cover pulls skin tight between the rope and trailer ties.

Another small detail is the pocket to hold the rope cincher is on the side so it can be tighened on the trailer or on a lift, the velcro has the loop portion on the top of the pocket so when the rope drops down when you loosen it it doesn't get stuck in the hook portion and get fuzzies on the nylon rope. Usally you tie your cover in the stern which is very hard to do on a dock. Enjoy

OK, who made it? I love the fact it protects the sides. That looks like what I want for my next cover.

Looks like the one Lonestar Custom Upholstery in Lewisville/Dallas made me for my old boat.

PM G-Man - he can tell you the shop that made the cover - this was his boat. I did not see a tag on the cover. My objective here is to let people see the cover to consider that type / design.

Dallas Canvas made it out of a twead Sunbrella material. Made it having the boat there on the trailer after they made the bimini to my specs. There isn't a pattern to make another.

I believe those are the guys who made my bimini top. They do good work.

My first post but thought I would chime in. Dallas Canvas is making a cover right now for my 236. They made a cover for another boat (Cobalt) owned by my family and it has really held up well for 4 years now. I wanted a cover that protected the red gelcoat on the sides and was trailerable. We have trailered the cover on the Cobalt 262 and it works well. I have asked them to make me a tower boot/sock as I get tired of all the bugs that I must clean after trips to and from the lake. I will post pictures once I get the boat and cover back in a week or so.

BBB, welcome! Looking forward to seeing those pics. I was thinking about having a tower boot made as well. I tow up I-5 through Central Cal. Anyone who goes this route can relate to your bug problem. Thanks for chiming in...and post those pics...
