    210, 220 or 230???

Ok, I have sold my 05' SAN and want to upgrade to a 2007 or newer SAN. I like the idea of a bigger boat but have heard of problems with the wake on a 220. We board (around 24.5 mph), wake surf, and do a lot of just hanging on the lake listening to tunes. I feel like I should look for a 2008 210, but if I could find a similar 230 for the right price, might be inclined to upgrade to that.
    Any recommendations from owners?
Like to Barefoot too, but that is pretty much out of the questions with these boats.

    Thanks in advance!

not sure about the 210 or 220, but i have a 2008 230 and the wakeboard wake is sick, the wakesurf wake has the potential to be huge with tons of weight and it has plenty of room to load people up for the party cove (and tons of storage). value wise, i think you should go with a 210 or 230. i don't think the 220's are being made anymore and don't seem to hold value for re-sale like a 210 or 230, because less people are buying them.

I have a 08 210, I love the boat. It puts out a great surf, wake board and ski wake. I added 400lb sacs on top of the hard tanks. I also love the 230 only downside is it doesn't put out a ski wake.

I second a vote for the 230/236. I have a 2008 236, can't say enough good things about the boat. Great wake for Wakeboarding & surfing, plenty of room for good sized groups, and drives like a champ even when loaded up.

Thanks for the input guys. I really would like to be able to swing a 230, just not sure I can afford it. Plus I will have to upgrade my lift for the heavier boat. White Lake has an 08 230 that I called about, and might be able to get for around mid - upper 50's, but has been used in brackish water. Not sure if I like that or not.

          Keep the recommendations coming

That boat at White Lake I believe was used in the sound at Wrightsville Beach in NC. Thats pure salt water and I dont think it was taken the best care of.

                Thanks

Hourglass, it sold for 34,500. 340 hours, and probably a 9 on 1-10 scale, with only a few minor scuffs. Tandem trailer.

Thanks for the info Highrock. I will keep looking.

did you see the NEW 08 236 at Whitelake? Might not be your colors, but you might get a deal and still get a NEW boat. I know you said a 230, but they're pretty much the same boat.

Have you checked out Central Kentucky Inboards or Nautiques of Orlando? Central Kentucky lists some of the boats Nautiques of Orlando has. I found mine through Central Kentucky, I got the best service from them while I was shopping around.

thanks. that seems about the perfect price minus 4 g's for new interior on mine. i know you probably want a new one as soon as possible, but if you have friends with boats, even if not nautiques, have you considered ordering one for next year?

Thanks for the link SkiTower, those colors are not too appealing, but I guess for the right price, it would be worth looking into. I would like to stay with a team due to re-sale value.

Nodixon, thanks, I will check out CKI. I know Orlando Nautiques well. This isn't the best time of year to find a deal - I know. If one comes up, you have be ready to pull the trigger.

Hourglass, I would love to order new, but have always been able to find (or have seen) 1-3 year old boats so well taken care of, and the depreciation already cut out. Also, I don't know if I could wait that long! EEK! This is the first time in I think 20 years, I have been with out a CC.

My local dealer (TRC Yachtsales in Chattanooga, TN) is getting a new 2010 230 (solid black) in on Saturday (along with my solid white 2010 230 ). You should call them and see what they want out of that 2010. I also know that they have a loaded 2009 210 demo that's black/silver metal flake that they'd like to sell.

Let me chime in and say I just bought a brand new SANTE220 for less than I could have gotten a brand new 210 for. The 220 puts out a smoking hot wakesurf wake, holds more people and is a bad boat. You can find them for a really great value and they have already taken much of their depreciation since they don't make them anymore and that's being factored in. Nautique wants them gone so negotiations are not too difficult.

If I had to do it all over again, I'd go 220. You can still find a few brand new 220s around if you look hard enough. My dealer sent me a list of them nationally that are sitting at dealerships. Overall there were about a dozen of them still left.
