    Ballast Tanks will not drain

I have a 2007 SAN. I pulled out my hard ballast tanks in the rear compartments and replaced them with 750 lb fat sacs. They will fill but not empty. I am thinking the problem is that the gauges are reading empty because I took out the tank sending units with the hard tanks. Anyone else have this problem? What's the best way to work around this problem?

    Thanks!

The reason why the ballast tanks would not drain is because when I took out the sending units and the gauges would read empty even though the fat sacs are full, the ballast system does not know that and there for the ballast pumps will not drain. I have to either pull the sending units out of the hard tanks and put then in a the full position so the ballast tanks will drain or I can use a jumper wire across the connector where I disconnected the sending units making the ballast system think that the tanks are full. I hope that makes since. I am surprise no one else has had this problem. It's a simple fix, but I think people should be aware of this issue could be possible on your boat if you decide to replace your hard tanks with fat sacs.

How exactly do you wire it to think its full? I just replaced my tanks with bags and cant get them to empty either I had to use my manual pump. What is the best option here? not to great with wiring other than stereos so details would be very helpful.
