Do the seats and seat bases come out of a 2002 SAN Super Air?

Looking at a boat for sale, many states away. The passenger side of the wrap around seats appear to be missing.

Do they come in and out like that?

That missing piece is where the cooler should be. It will come out but 2 screws have to be removed to do so. The end of the passenger seat that flips up isn't very strong there on the end. The cooler base helps support it. With the cooler missing it will be very flimsey.

interesting, should be a cooler, and then another cushion on top of the cooler?

I did a search, but all the photos from years past seem to be missing on the site-

We have seen this question a few times over the years. Not common, but in some boats they were not ordered with that seat. In that case, the back seat is a bench which goes straight across. If that is not what you have here then the piece has been removed. It comes out very easily with the removal of a couple of screws. BKH

+1. I am surprised that the observer's seat bottom is not broken. Heck, maybe it is.

If you look closely at the pic you can tell there was once something there by the way the carpet looks. Plus the back seat juts out toward the bow instead of being straight. I say they removed the cooler and seat that went on top.

I think there were some cup holders molded into the cooler/seat base. These cup holders had drain holes that drained into the inner cavity of the cooler/seat base, and the only way to get the water out of there was to remove the cooler/seat base.

I actually moved the cooler seat to the other side behind the drivers seat. I havent seen any instability issues with the observer seat. Granted, the 105# gf usually is the only one who sits there
