How many hours have you put on your boat this year? I have just gotten my boat earlier this year brand new and now I have almost 70 hours on it is that a lot? Thinking to have my second oil change soon.

I'm at 35 and we started in late March. My goal is 100-150 between March and October, of course then when I go to sell it, someone will complain about the hours!

It is far better for the engine to be ran on a regular basis, that to sit for extended periods of time, and allow the oil to run off internal engine surfaces.

Couldn't agree more. I personally think extremely low hours on an older boat can be a major drawback. As far as hours this season -- about 15 so far, but I've only been out a handful of times. Mother nature hasn't been very cooperative which delayed finishing my winter projects. Now that we're race ready, we'll probably do 75-100 before the season is out.

i agree. when a boat has less than 75-100 hours average per year it means one of two things. the owner's never used it or it was constantly broken.

I'm thinking I change my oil around 50 ish.

I'll have to look at my log to determine the hours clocked last year. I'm probably not a good benchmark because we ski a private ski lake and there is not a lot of "boat riding" and "getting to the secret spot" etc. We were in two to three times a week last year and I'm thinking I only clocked about 80 hours.

I hope i have the time and the weather for 100 hours this season. If I can put on 60 i'll be happy.

I wish I could rack up hours on mine. Bought our 220 brand new in '06 - just hit 94 hours on it.

Sits in the dock on a battery charger and fuel stabilizer. Hoping after July work will let me get out there more often.

Apparently I need to live somewhere else because I have put zero hours on mine this year. I live in Portland, OR and we had the 3rd wettest May on record. The water is super high with a bunch of debris in it - like logs that are not Nautique friendly. Plus it has been cold. Reading your guys' posts is hard to swallow!

Picked up the new boat 05/01/10, average May temperatures were 10-15 degrees cooler than the average (it was cold; water temps around 54 and air temps around 58). We currently have 36.5 hours on it. Did the fluid changes at 24 hours. Currently I have some bruised ribs from footing last Saturday. I won't see much line time for probably two weeks; unless anyone has a suggestion on how to get the excrutiating pain to go away. We switch off boats (take turns with my buddies) but between the kids and I we usually put 75-100 hours on our boat per season.
