    Boat out of balance???

I have a 88 ski that I am doing stringer and floor repair on right now and had been told by someone I believe to be trustworthy that sides of boat could "flex" while floor was out and boat would become out of "balance" rendering it useless due to porposing for the rest of it's days. Was wandering if anyone had heard of or experienced this problem. Thanks for any help.

If the hull gets a belly in the bottom it can cause porpoising. Back in the late 60's an inboard boat built by Keaton had issues with trailers that caused the boat to sag resulting in porpoising at speeds over 34mph. Some owners put cavitation plates on the back to try to stop the cavitation.

Take a few measurements and make sure the hull profile does not change.
