Rope catching on Speakers, what can I do?

Went wakeboarding for the first time yesterday. I noticed the rope was getting caught up on some of the speaker hardware on my rack, which made for an odd "snap" when getting pulled up out of the water and shredded some of the wrap on my rope and will probably mean the end of my rope much sooner than normal.

Has anyone else experienced this and what did you do? While the below picture is the best picture I have available of my speakers and the tower, please realize my boat doesn't look like this anymore so let's not hear a bunch of wise cracks about how ugly the wrap is.

I saw this at the PWT Stop#1 in Ackworth. I don't know these guys or am affiliated with them. Also, don't have any knowledge of how it works. Thought it might be useful for your situation.

that things pretty cool. would come in handy on an fct3 if you have more than 2 wakeboards.

I have one on my 230 with the FCT3, Works awesome, especially when the wife is driving and the water is cold

No, not powerturning. I may go with the wakejak but it's a bit of a chunk of change. Thanks for the inputs.

You might be able to just use a slalom shock tube? Kind of does what the other thing does but is much cheaper.

Well, based on that logic, why don't I just go ahead and replace my rope each season with a new one since they're only about $100.
No, $180 isn't that big of a deal in the grand scheme but I still like to get value for my money and I'm not sure it's there with the wakejak.

are they stock speakers? i have never experienced a rope catch on them if that's the case. and as for 60,000+ boat, there shouldn't be rope catch from the factory. duh.

Using this same mentality, you would think with a $60,000 plus boat we would not have to worry about this, mine also gets caught up on the racks and bindings when a board is in it. Just a serious pain in the rear honestly. $180 is nothing, but the reason most of us can afford these boats is because we spend our money sensibly, and this just does not make sense to have to do on this quality of boat.

Yes, they are factory speakers and for $60k, you'd think they could design it in such a way that the rope wouldn't get tangled with mounting screws.

try some different turning techniques, don't turn in so sharp, turn away from the rope... I have experienced it in the past when I first started using a boat with a tower but now I don't even snag the rope on my buddies Malibu with an Illusion tower. If you think it's bad on a Nautique, don't even think of driving a Bu with an Illusion, it's way worse. Even an Xstar is worse than any Nautique I have ever driven. Although the Titan swivel racks do hang back a bit but still not as bad as a Bu.
