But wouldn't you agree that it is CC's burden at this point. If you come home with lipstick on your collar and dont explain it to your wife right away, you will be in trouble regardless.

update
When I first posted back in June I was just looking to find out if anyone else had the same problem with there new boat as I did. After so much time passed and with the viewing of this post closing in at the 6000 mark it is amazing how much support I have received. I have been very honest in what I have posted and try not to get upset at the company that decides on my fate with my boat. I have to tell you this has been very very stressful on me. In my mind I know what the right thing that needs to be done but in there mind they have a different viewpoint. With the amount of people that have posted and private messaged me with the same solution that I felt, it makes it hard for me to agree any other way. I have my own business and I deal with customers everyday. We all know we can't always please everyone but its important to listen and try. I believe CC has listened and I believe they have tried in there own way to make it right. Companys like people sometimes make mistakes.
This is a great opportunity for Correct Craft to show us why they have and will continue to have the best customer service, make the best ski/wake boats every and carry that "Pride" that makes us all standup together and say "I OWN A NAUTIQUE!!!"
At this point I won't be saying anything more till next week when things are finalized. I will try to keep my word that I will explain the outcome since I feel this is important too not only me but others that have helped me with there kind advice.

So the bottom line is you spent $$$XX,XXX (lots) of money for a new boat that has a warranty, they can't figure it out so your just stuck and that's to bad (them talking). And if you want if fixed we have this nice 2011 for $$$XX,XXX that you can buy at a reduced cost. Oh yeah and pay taxes all over again for it.
This is bull XXIT. It's under warranty, they need to fix it period! Everyone that's listened to the boat basically agrees it doesn't sound right, something wrong. Make them keep switching parts until it's fixed. It's called warranty. Maybe it's time for a lawyer?

They have offered to take the boat back done to the factory and work it over. Since the transmission has already been replaced once and still no fix. It would be wear and tear on the boat and motor so I declined. If they could have replaced my boat with a new 2010 from a dealer they would have. However my boat is loaded with options almost every one available and the coloring is optioned out on the boat as well.
Today they should be giviing me final cost for the 2011 boat.
There are no big changes from what I can see in the 2011 boat. Just different material on the seats, carpet is higher grade and 3 new colors and maybe a hinge change on the rear storage. Nothing that is driving up the cost of the boat and making me want to jump on an 11.

That's more or less what I assumed they would do. It's normal, even with a lemon law, to charge a small price increase if the new vehicle is from the next model year. Hopefully it's a small upcharge for you. If it's over the $1,500to $2,000 range, they're not being fair. I wouldn't expect to pay any more than the dealer net increase for 2011. Just my thoughts... good luck Act!'08 196LE (previous)

For what it's worth, my first v-drive was a 2001 Mastercraft X-Star. I was the second owner and did not transfer the warranty because I didn't know any better. I was in school at the time, and it was the first boat that I had purchased from a dealer. The boat actually came from a malibu dealer because some guy was trading it in on a VLX. I think I bought it in 2004.
Several months after I purchased the boat, I had several problems that I chalked up to routine maintenance. Next, the seat skins started to have a bunch of pink looking stains form on them. No matter what I did, I couldn't get them out, and it's not like I spilled anything on the boat or did not take care of it after using it. I knew several people who had experienced this same problem (who had bought their boats new) and had gotten MC to replace skins under warranty. At first, I just lived with the issue because I was told it would cost 3k to replace the interior.
Later, a bilge pump failed on me and a hard tank cracked while we were riding. What happened was I ended up with some water in the bilge. Not a lot, but some. Well, when I put my boat on the trailer at the end of the day, the water rushed back towards the rear of the boat and washed over the transmission. That particular year, there was a vent in the transmission placed pretty low, so the water got in the vent. The result was the transmission seal went out and transmission fluid leaked out all down into the bilge. I took the boat to the MC dealer and was told it was going to cost like 3k to fix because they supposedly had to pull the motor to put a new seal in correctly and would have to flush the tranny a bunch of times.
I next found out that several other people with the same boat that I knew had had the same issue with water getting into their transmissions. They had gotten their boats fixed under warranty. Well, here I was in school, with a $20k boat loan, and a boat that needed between $3-6k in work to make it right again. I didn't have the money to fix the boat, so I was stuck.
I called the dealer and asked if there was anything they could do to help me out or see if the boat still qualified for some sort of warranty. It was less than three years old, but I did not transfer the warranty, so I was told by the dealer that I was simply out of luck.
Next thing I did was call the factory and speak to MC's warranty division. I ended up dealing with the head honcho over there and explained my story. What happened next? MC decided, as a matter of goodwill, to take my boat in. The factory had someone come get my boat, replace the transmission completely, replace the bilge pump, and replace the entire interior. I didn't get charged a penny and the work was done in a matter of weeks. I'll never forget how MC handled the situation, and I've relayed that story to many people who have asked me what kind if warranty experiences I've had. To me, that is the right way to treat a customer. I had no warranty, but my boat got taken care of anyway because I was a valued customer and I was made to feel appreciated. I've got a friend who runs a MC dealership, and I've heard many other stories about MC handling warranty issues the right way.
As for CC, I've not had any problems getting all of my minor warranty claims handled in a timely and acceptable fashion. Luckily, I've not had anything major go wrong with any of my 3 230's so far though. Also, my local dealer is friggin awesome about getting boats in and out quickly.
I know I was absolutely livid when I was making a boat payment on a boat that I couldn't use. I can sympathize with you. This is a great opportunity for CC to come through for one of its customers, and based on what I've seen in the past, I'm hopeful that it will. These are the types of stories that people tend to remember and make lasting impressions. Please let us know how it works out!Last edited by Chattwake; 09-16-2010, 09:20 AM.2012 Axis A22 - on order

There is not one 2010 that is comparable in the entire USA? ****, this economy must be better than reported on the news. If the jump in price is to much and they wont settle, I would just go for the most blinged boat they do have available, that is if you do not want to get the attorneys involved. Have they made any mention of you still paying on a boat that you are not being able to use and the loss of an entire season?Eric, Phoenix AZ

Thanks Chattwake for your story and thoughts. I have my own business and I agree if you do the right thing word of mouth is so important in any company that has a product. looks like you passed on the good word and that can create sales for the company. Last year I talked a friend into buying a new Wakeboard Nautique since they were set on a Mastercraft at the time. By me putting in a good word on a product I felt was the best and a company that stood behind warranty it made them a sale. A very easy sale at that because of my efforts.
At this point my salesman days are coming to an end when it comes to boats. A bad taste in my mouth can last a very very long time if you can read between the words.
