Johnson ballast pumps vs jabsco water puppies

so the Johnsons are rated at like 720gpm and the jabscos at 580, and the johnsons are cheaper, so whats the deal?? has anyone used the johnsons? any info would be greatly appreciated as i'm in planning of doing a custom ballast install in my 01 SAN 210.

just wanted to see if the johnsons are any good or if i should stick with the water puppies, thanks.

Johnsons are longer and narrower than the Jabscos. It worked better for my installation, but might not for yours. A ton of people have installed the jabscos on your hull, and shorter might be better. I believe that the Johnsons are louder than the Jabscos, which generally is probably something in favor of the Jabscos, but you will definitely hear the Johnsons change pitch when your bags are finally empty. I have limited experience with the Jabscos, so I can't give a great comparison of them versus the Johnsons, and only just installed my Johnsons and tested them quickly yesterday, but they appeared to work fine and filled and emptied pretty quickly. I have not timed things yet, but plan to next weekend.
