I am getting ready to sell my Nautique boat & wanted to get some pointers from anybody who has traveled down that road themself. I am looking for any pointers seeing I haven't ever done this before. I am very aware that scammers are out there and don't want to get ripped off. Thanks for your help everybody

the best thing for selling your boat is to clean the interior as well is can be cleaned and then 303 it. depending on your gel coat wax it and or use a restorer to get rid of oxidation. take a pic of the bow, helm, rear seats/storage hatches, pic from outside to show hull, and list hours, type of water boat was used in, and any upgrades or things that have to be replaced. only inboards, boat trader, this site, and wakeworld are good places to put up ads. don't list it at the lowest price you'll accept. list it at what you want within reason of it's value and condition and set yourself a bottom price you are willing to accept. good luck with the sale.

On the web, pictures sell a boat. Go for exposure and be up front with as much info as possible.

Detail the boat, good pictures, good detailed write-up. I also take the boat into the dealer and have them do any service and check the entire boat over. I normally do all my service, but when selling, I need the dealer's checkout. That way I have a document from the dealer that everything have been checked (or fixed). Of course if anything needs to be fixed or repaired have it done. I would advertise on this site, inboardsonly and craigslist. Last straw would be boat trader, but that is expensive

Expect it to take a little while

I posted my boat everywhere, I think it is priced well, my pics could be better....but I have only had one hit in 60 days.
