Shaun Murray - The Boarding School

I was surfing the net watching wakeboarding videos and I happened to check out the new website for Shaun Murray - The Boarding School. I could not believe my eyes when I saw they have a mastercraft. I own every Shaun Murray video and I have never seen him behind anything other than a Nautique. Can anyone tell me why they would have a mastercraft? I was hoping to some day go there, but now I can't say that I want too.

ya travis is the ultimate driver. i know he didn't pull tourney's with perfect pass, not sure if that's changed since zero off, but i doubt it. murray has been on nautique since he went pro hasn't he?

Yeah, even though they use the X-Star most of the time at the camp, Shaun loves Nautiques. In fact, when I called him to find out if he was bringing a boat to White Lake this past Monday for their clinic, he said that he and Eddie were traveling with Eddie's MasterCraft, but that he would really prefer to have a Nautique there. That's why I took the PN/WLM 210 down there. It was Shaun's preference, even though they already had a brand new X-35 there with them. He seemed to enjoy showing off the capabilities of the LINC system to people in the clinic, and he made several comments throughout the day about how he likes Nautiques better than any other brand.

I am heading to the boarding school this weekend for a week, July5-9. I have been so excited and anxious to go. I looked at alot of different schools to go to and it was a toss up between TBS and The Projects. I was so stoked to here they moved to the projects location. I would definately prefer to ride behind a 210 myself while there but I never considered not going there because of the brand of boat they use. I am just really excited about going and hope to improve my riding and make some new friends.

the projects has always used nautiques in the past. im sure there is one there you could use. even bubba stewart rocks a nautique.

It is highly likely that you will get to ride behind Shaun's Nautique at some point in your trip. We went to his house a couple of times in the 5 days and rode behind his 226 (which I preferred to the X) and a couple of the guys got to ride behind Gerry Nunn's Malibu too. Go to TBS, they are the best!

Thanks for the good info on Shaun Murray....I am a huge fan, I just love what he brings to this sport. Would love the opportunity to meet him someday. He is the reason I love nautiques so much.

I have to ask you Latonkaboarder if you don't mind how old you are or anyone else that has been to TBS. I am in my mid 30's and pretty much an intermediate rider and worry I would be a lot older than the other guys or gals are.

Shaun Murray - The Boarding School

I have been there three or four times now, and I am 33. I have seen people there under 15 and have heard about people in their 60's going. They honestly have all levels of riders there. Most groups have someone who has only been up a handful of times and someone who is pretty good and a few people in between.

I went 5 years ago for my 10th anniversary with my wife. We were 33 at the time (roughly Shaun and Travis' age). There were two pros from Potugal, about our age, and a dude from Canada who was younger. The pros were learning scarecrows etc, I was learning 180's, the Canadian was learning W2W, and my wife was just getting comfy. Just go and don't worry about it. The coaches are lots of fun. Remember: Sunscreen, water, and lots of ibuprofen!

Boarding School

Last year my son 12 and myself 46 went. I got to say Shaun, Travis, Kyle and Robby were just great.
Kyle and Robby were doing a photo shoot and invited us to go along what fun.
Great guys all of them.
They all helped us out so much it is hard to believe you can learn that much in one week.
I made Shaun's day on bare foot Friday he said I was the biggest guy he had bare footing weight 235, more fun than I can say. I spent the morning bare footing.
Had the best week with my son that I can remember.
They run a great school.
