Thinking of coming back to the family

Hey there, it's been a while since I posted here. I tried a buddies 2008 210 sante 3 weeks ago with 1200 added ballast and loved it I can only think of what t can become. So After selling my 230 xti wakesetter (sorry I cheated on you guys) I am contemplating at buying a 2008 210sante and before I finalise the deal I need the PN knowledge.

First what's the difference between a sante and a san?

what problems did the '08 have?

If everything goes well I should be sitting in my 210 tomorrow night I am getting the wakeboarding frenzy... lol

Thanks in advance for your input.

SAN= SUPER AIR NAUTIQUE . SANTE = SUPER AIR NAUTIQUE TEAM EDITION
The only problem I have had in 144 hours is one ballast pump locked up on the first time out .There is a upgrade to the zero off to stop porpoising. Have the dealer do the software update before you buy the antenna.

Only issues on the 08 that I can think of is the zero off. Make sure it has or you get the software update for the zero off. You may also want to update the antenna for the zero off. The boat has a tendancy to porpoise if you don't have this done. I run the integrated bow sac and also a 400 lb sac in the front along with the 750lb fly highs in the rear.

I meant what was the difference between the the 2 models I guess there upgrades but what what are they?
as for the zero off can I do the update on the software myself? the dealer here is not close to my house...

        latonkaboarder:
hey I was just about to ask the question for added ballast.. did you remove the stk ballast to fit the 750 and how well do they fit also, is that the 650 bow ballast above floor or under (arrow shape) from fly high? what speed and rope lengt you riding fully loaded?

        thanks

I have the team edition and not exactly sure what the difference is? But I think one diff maybe the zero off which does need the software update which you can do yourself in a way. You can take the head unit out and send it to zero off yourself or if you have the correct cable do it yourself. Also the floor ballast most people use is the arrow shape below floor. Lastly some people pull the tanks and put the 750 bags in but I run my bags on top of the stock tanks and they fill really close to full, so with the stock tanks full and the 750s on top I'm guessing I get close to 900 on each side. Lastly I ride at 75' back but I suck! Also I'm just getting into surfing this year and that is great too!

Thanks Nordicron for your input, that looks like what I want to do also, how's the wake with this set up? I know the boat presently has the stk ballast and I don`t want to remove it but i would like to be able to max out the qty of water I can put in the back. To put the 750s in is there something I need to modify or pad so there's no damage?

If everything goes well, there's only a few hours left and the boat is in the driveway!!!! Can wait to try it out!

Our 2008 SANTE 210 has been awesome! The only issue I have had with it is the Zero Off causing porpoising when loaded down with extra ballast. Ours only began porpoising after I added the fly high ballast on top of the stock ballast. My boat is currently at my dealer getting the software update along with the new antenna and wire harness.

Enjoy your new boat, got any pictures yet?

                    Congrats on the new SANTE!

to answer your question on the bags. No you don't have to do anything to put the 750 bags in the lockers, they will fill(they won't fill completely but darn close)and empty just like the 400s do and won't damage anything.

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you, I have been out of town. I have the integrated bow sac in the front of mine. It is the W711 I believe from Fly High. They did not have the arrow shaped bow sac as a standard option to purchase from Fly High when I got mine. I have though about changing to the arrow shaped sac but haven't done so. As fir the 750's I put them on top of the stock tanks. I am riding at 75' and 22.5 mph to 23 mph.

I have a 2008 SANTE 210. I run stock ballast plus 400 lb sacs on top of each rear tank (these sacs fill up the locker space, so I'm not sure if 750s would do any better unless you actually pulled the stock tanks out). I then have a ski locker sack in the ski locker that fills the locker up completely. I also have the integrated bow sack that fits under the bow seats. Lastly, I have 350 lbs of lead under the seats in the cabin of the boat and 50 lbs of lead stuffed up in the nose of the boat. I am estimating I have around 2600-2800 lbs of ballast and I ride at 80' and 24 mph. I'm no pro by any means, but can do some inverts ts and hs, hit double-ups, etc.

All of my sacs are integrated into the factory system. For the rear sacs, the overflow from the tanks run into the sacs and then an overflow runs from the sacs out the side of the boat. For the front sacs, the overflow from the stock tank runs into the ski locker sac. Then an overflow on the ski locker sac runs into the bow sac. Then an overflow from the bow sac runs out the side of the boat.

The new 210 likes weight in the back of the boat and with my setup, I couldn't be happier with the wake...especially when you get a couple passengers in the boat as well. I had the software update and new antenna installed for Zero Off on my boat because it will definitely porpoise with this much weight in the back. Let me know if you have any other questions.
