Additions i'd like to see in future years:
A standardised branded trailer. lets everyone know you are rolling it with a Nautique, even if the boats not on the trailer. The UK get them made by another firm, the dealers in the USA seem to offer them from different manufacturers in different years.. Whether nautique develop this in house or have a bespoke trailer made by some one else. I think that would look really trick and add continuity to th eline. plus it would enable them to add options and add real positive aesthetic value.
Another thing i'd like to see, as others have mentioned, is coloured decks... most every other brand offers this.. why not CC??

and, finally, this isn't so much an option, but a request. Standardise ONCE a year, every year. the website, literature, dealer info packs etc.. all seem to say different things. i know there's several 2005's rolled out with differing audio - but they all paid for the same options. I.E team edition. some very early ones got kicker, some seem to be getting different sub boxes on the same model etc.. I believe this was only going on in the first few weeks of 2005 production but it should have been the same all the time!
Why should i order my 2005 SAN 210 limited and be told by the website i get a sub but with no furthwer info regarding 05 changes and audio. by the dealer i got told i don't.. I ordered under the impression i did (now i am buying a sub bench seat for $400 - why should i incur this due to CC misleading me? I would like to be provided with a SUB box after being told i was getting one.. but i doubt this is going to happen) and in fairness.. i do not have any 2005 literature or 2005 final spec to justify my purchase. No joke here, I have NOTHING for the 2005 model year - no brochure, no final spec. I am literally going on my trust of CC and my dealer (who for the record has been great to me, I couldn't ask for more from them. I in no way at all feel they have let me down).

All this after laying out more than 65 thousand dollars (i bought in the UK) - am i being unfair, asking for too much?

Call me crazy but this really is unacceptable when laying out this kind of cash to this size of company.

A couple of little things that just shouldn't happen...

1.) The little "N" logo on the wheel isn't screwed in, it looks like it is "just there," and often, it turns upside down, looks real cheap, and I have to just move it with my hands so it looks right. This is not a pain, but shouldn't need to be done, and a little thing that should be fixed. Also, when I 303 the boat down, I have no grip on anything. So the boat may be all nice and clean and shiny, but have an upsidedown logo on the wheel.

2.) Throttle feels very loose when going at headway speed. I don't know if it is just my feel coming from an 82 Ski, but it feel loose, and able to move around as if not "screwed in" all the way when it is in dead slow.

3.) Carpet under the passanger sead (by the sub) is falling down from the "ceiling".

4.) Kicker speaker covers fall off over bumps, and the ones in the bow are dented, but I think that is fixed by the new Polk Momo speakers.

5.) The battery guage dies every now and then, so I have to use the tach digital feature to read the voltage.

These are not big things, and I'm not saying it in hope that each one would be fixed, but it is just to give an idea of the little sorts of things that add up in quality to make a boat a real Nautique.

I have a 210... and here is what I would have changed:

-Take out the cooler in the Bow area, and use it a storage
-Design the interior to provide a little more functional space
-Build in an Amp mounting location in the boat (instead of people doing it themselves)
-Offer a pre-wired Tower option for speakers and lights
-Add a on-off switch for Tower Speakers on the console
-Design the factory ballast in such a way to open up storage (tanks on the side, sunk deeper in the boat, integrated in the hull)
-I concur with what was already suggested... Better tower anchor light design. I would buy one and make it look more integrated than what is available today.
-I like the wrap around seating idea... however... only if there is more storage space configured somehow in the boat.

I would like to see a boat priced about $35,000 w painted trailer. Maybe take the 97 hull and include the tower. No stereo, ballast, heater, shower, etc... All you get is a motor, hull, tower and trailer. This would leave all the aftermarket options to the owner. They get a taste of what nautique boats are all about. I'm sure that once they outgrow this boat they will get a signature, limited, or team. It also makes it afforable for the younger generation.

1) Binding lube holder reachable from the swim platform.
2) A proper fastener on the windshield on bow riders. One that secures the two halves for better rigidity.
3) Wind blocker on bow riders like Whitechocolate's!
4) Give me a real silver gel coat!
5) Bring back the color coded rub rails.
6) Built in air compressor for tubes? :?

These are all pretty simple and doable items. If you want to go full blown....tower with built in retractable bimini, a la Cobalt. Except, it has to fold!

Stereo suggestions

on the 210 and 211 mount the drivers speaker in the side front( in the front side of the driver- not behind(211) or way below(210).

matching glass speaker pods with seperate tweeters mounts would be cool (all speaker sizes 6.5 components)

a real high quality wired head unit with xm radio and cd changer

a real subwoofer system and enclosure- also make the section of the boat rattle free from the vibration of the sub

( the jl component speakers and amps on the 05 mc's are a step in the right direction)

Interior

a drivers seat that doesnt wiggle and can turn all the way around without moving it forward (211)

also, the angle or the height of the 211 windshield....it looks cool but tall drivers look right at the top bar....

rear walk through transom is great - might want to consider it on other models
snap in carpeting is great - might want to consider it on other models

a cool looking air dam ( like Grants "bling bling")

Personally I would like to see a diesel option. Petrol is getting more expensive in Europe and making the cost of running a boat extremely costly. Most of the boats here in the UK are converted to run on LPG, purely to bring down the running cost.

My perfect boat would be a combination of several current Correct Craft boats. It would have the hull of the 210 (although it would probably have to be slightly wider) with an interior similar to the 211/226. It would have a walk-through transom. The exterior would not have the sloping back look of the current 211/226, and the exterior color scheme would be similar to the current 210 coloring scheme, with a hull color, a primary stripe, and a secondary stripe. In my opinion, the 211/226 coloring patterns have some room for improvement. A third stripe is necessary, and I really like the way the coloring is handled on the 210. The tower would be like the one on the 2003 and earlier 210. That 2004-style tower that is still used on the 211/226 has got to go.

Now for the impractical items that would probably never make it into a production boat from the factory...

I'd love to see a built-in powered cooler that doesn't require ice.

I'd also like to see an electronics package offered that could include things like a GPS navigation screen built into the dash, a built-in MP3 player, and satellite radio.

How about a fish finder to alert the driver to underwater obsticles ahead? Can they do that while going 30mph?

I have been out several times at night when it would have been nice to know where the markers and other such things are that are difficult to see in the dark. This is especially true on a lake that you're not familiar with.

Indeed! When I was out at night on Winnipesaukee, I had my handheld GPS hooked up to my laptop so that I'd know where the buoys were. It worked very well. I just wish something like that could be integrated into the dash as an option.

I'd like to see a wakeboard specific boat that is under 20' like the one Supra put out. 19'11" w/o the platform, this way it would be legal on my lake and I could have a nautique.

Integrate the anchor light with the rope attachment point on the tower like the MasterCraft one. The Nautique anchor lights (current design) are embarassing. It looks so cheap. Clearly an afterthought.

I think the price should stay higher than the others. The whole point of CC is it is the highest quality boat in the industry. They put so much more in the construction of the boats that they'd have to start cutting corners to lower the price.
