    Switch Blade for 08 210???

We are thinking of adding a switch blade to our 08 210. We have already maxed out are boat with fat sacs and we are looking at the switchblade to make it even bigger. We don't know how the wave is going to look with a nautique hull. If anyone has put one on their boat please tell me how it worked out.

Basically like the Malibu's wedge system, but available for other boats.

Whats up with the backwards tower on that MC?

not to be a downer here, but that thing scares me. My understanding is Malibu had issues with their wedge breaking the fiberglass. Don't know if it's true but I would definitely want my boat to be reinforced for something like that.

                WOW, but questions:

                1. WHY ??????????????????????????????????????????????????
                2. why ????????????????????????????????????????????
                3. Wait until your warranty is up
                4. What you are you going to do with the hydrogate?
                5. Are you going to have to pull the motor (refer to #3)
                6. why Again would you want to do this to your boat?????????????????

I can see the concept on old boat like the Mastercrap in the picture, not the ultimate wakeboarding boat on the market.

I think my 08 210 has a great surf wake and we do LOTS of trick, I fact laying on the surfboard we were about to do a roll this weekend. Personally, I'm not sure what else you can do back there with a bigger wake.

I'd be reinforcing the snot out the transom.

To each their own. Your boat.

Yeah, I can't see a reason for the thing either. All air nautiques make great wakes.

I looked up the item after the OP posted about it.

Im with skitower...seems like you would be adding alot of concentrated load into one area that may not have the reinforced area to handle the load. Seems like a good idea to free up space and reduce time adding water. But that thing is costly… And I don’t understand how it would increase fuel efficiency when compared to ballast. Just my thought...

Maybe look on wakeworld if you don’t find anyone on here who has used it. Be interesting to talk to a 3rd party and see what they have to say about using it.

if you want one of those get a malibu or boat that comes with one. nautique would have used one in it's history if they thought it would improve their boats' wake. if it were 500 i'd say try it, but a min. of 2000$ is way not worth it, but i guess you'll never know if you don't try.

sell ur 210 & buy a Centurion -they come with Switchblades.
Switchblades are for boats that DONT produce nice/solid wakes one their own (hull only) so they attach this huge contraption to allow a better wake to be made.

Please PLEASE dont destroy that beautiful 210 by adding a switchblade to it - sell it - & allow someone else to appreciate what an awesome boat that is. With the $$ you make selling it, you can buy 2 centurions with switchblades & some gas.

If you install that SB on your 210 - good luck trying to ever sell it.

I am not sure why everyone is busting on you for this question. I think the hydrofoil is a slick idea but, as mentioned, would want to make sure my transom would tolerate the loads.

Thanks everyone. I guess no one has ever put a switch blade on a nautique yet, i tried wake world too. We might be the first people to... this is going to be exciting. So far the main concern is the hull "breaking" or the switchblade coming off. We were doing this for a better starboard surf because of the prop rotation. The switch blade is probably a lot cheaper than changing the prop rotation.
