    Switching tower a bad thing?

Looking at a 09 220 with the FCT 1. I have had a 07 220 with this tower and it was very difficult to put down - I have a low bridge I need to get under. I really want a FCT2 or 3 - would it be bad for the boat integrity to witch the towers?

Still looking for the 220 with the tower I want but figured I ask the "switch tower" question.

Some people switched from FCT1 to FCT2 on older nautiques.

Thanks a.klos - that is what I figured would work best with the similar footprints of the tower on the boats.

Hit up Gasman87. He has an 06 220 and changed his tower to the FCT 3 it looks very nice. Here is a link to his profile page and one to a post that he put some pictures up on.

Swithching from one tower to another would still requiere new holes. They all different. I put 07 2010 tower on my
'98 boat and after a while I decided to alter it a bit and that would requiere new holes in my gunwales. I wish I did correct one time.

You sure? I don't think they used the FCT 1 after '99 or so.

I think it is the FCT1 tower but I don't no the official name - I did have a 07 220 once with that tower and it was VERY hard to put down - needed at least 2/3 people - so I could not drop my boat in by myself, go under the bridge and pick my friends up to wakeboard... Had to drive to a pain-in-the-butt boat ramp and then was stuck on one vs 5 lakes

Not sure the cost of the towers - heard one time the FCT2 (folds backwards) was $6,000... sorry if I am getting these tower names messed up - I know enough to be dangerous.

Yep, new holes in the boat when switching towers - The FCT3 would be a good choice for a replacement tower since it only bolts in the one location vs in front and back of windshield new holes while covering up the old hole (guessing the footprint of towers would not be the same).

I have a 07' 220 that i want to put FCT 3 tower on my boat. Which ever one is on my boat holds the guinness book record for largest wakeboat tower.
