    Update......Totalled out '08 210

I haven't been on here for quite a while with everything that happened. Here is the short story. Wakesurfing with full port ballast + 650 sac in storage area. 8 people on the boat. I'm surfing and we are round the corner at the end of the cove and BAM! Just killed it on a unmarked rock(full pool) One passanger slide out of the front as it went under water. The other front passanger, my fiance, was thrown into the post of the windshield as the boat raised back up(zero off was set and driver didn't kill it fast enough) she has 4 broken ribs. Everyone else was ok. I talked to TRC in chattanooga on Friday. Pictures of the damage were sent to Nautique. Larry Shea said the boat was totalled according to their fiberglass specialist. Cracks went all the way thru hull where the rudder and strut are. Now i'm in the market for a 08-09 230 as I want a bigger boat. (fiance's idea to buy another

destroyed prop, rudder, shaft, and strut.

Hey Kev, I texted you back the other day but wasn't sure if you received it. Did the insurance company total it out?

****, that sucks! I hope everyone has a speedy recovery.

Reminds me of my friend driving along (maybe 20mph) in his boat and hit a sand bar, INSTANT STOP, slammed his face into the windshield frame and broke his nose

                    Kev,

Sorry to hear about your loss. Glad all or OK or at least not seriously injured. Not sure what they let you strip off before the insurance company came and took her. If you have bimini, I could use it.

Good luck on your new boat purchase.

                      Insurance

Ouch. Is that a "covered" loss -- it must depend on the policy, I guess?

The only way I could see this not being a covered loss would be if the insurance company were able to prove that this was done on purpose. This sort of accident is exactly the point of insurance and exactly what it is supposed to cover, a total loss due to an unknown hazard.

Chexi is right. Unless the Insurance co can prove it was done on purpose, then it will be covered.

Glad to hear that only minor injuries were sustained by the crew. The boat can be replaced.

Has anyone now marked the rock now?
