    98 sport

I am looking at buying a 98 sport nautique with 310 hp gt 40, factory ballast tanks and a tower. The boat only has about 250 hrs on it. Just wondering if there are some inherent problems with anything on those years of nautiques. Thanks for any help.

I had a '98 Sport with the GT-40. It was an absolute pefect boat with no problems at all. Turn the key and go.

Just do the usual check over of the boat (oil, trans fluid, test drive, etc) The only thing you might run into is needing a new starter relay.

I am also looking at a 98 Sport Nautique and and was told that 600# in back locker and 400-500# in ski locker makes a great wake. How does this boat handle with weight? I want to be able to plumb in ballast pumps in the engine compartment and run fill hoses to bags. Any suggestions on bags to use? Any help would be appreciated. How comfortable are people and how many.
