All prices listed on that site are bare bones boats; keyed ignition, rocker switches, analog gauges.......the only one that is a team price is the 230 since it only comes in a team edition. Add anywhere from 5K to 13K to those prices to get a team edition with no extra options, then start going up up up with options!

MSRP has never meant much when it comes to ski boats. I would bet that CC looked pretty hard at what MC posts as their MSRP and kept theirs under, thus promoting price and quality. Other marine segments have rebounded somewhat from last year but for ski boats they remain in the tank. I wouldn't expect posting MSRP's to change that but I applaud them for a least trying something. Anybody know if Malibu lists their MSRP's? Numbers on the attached chart are pretty depressing when you consider that 08, not a really great year, saw MC/MB in the 1300 unit range and CC just over 800. I personally don't see much happening until housing/employment gets back on its feet hopefully by 2014.

My local MC dealer said they don’t even order the smaller boats (X-Star, X2) because they dont sell. The only people with who can afford these boats are people with a lot of money and they don’t care about the wake. The rich just want the "biggest & coolest" boat.

Shane mentioned his buddy sells boats for retail at the beginning of the season. I was only able to sell one boat in 4 years at retail, when I sold MC's. The other 99.9% either had sticker shock or laughed in my face. There must be new flock of clueless buyers out there now, as a few years back, buyers were very familiar with the product before walking in the door. And that was before the internet had the power it has today.'08 196LE (previous)
