Any clue on the total amount of skiers that can be pulled behind a 98 Sport Nautique w/ GT40 310 hp (EFI). I have pulled 5 and the ski pylon flexed a little. I am not sure on the total amount of weight this pylon can stand? Anybody have a idea? I am also curious on the most skiers pulled behind a boat. By the way it was cool getting 5 up boat had no power problem. Love Nautiques!!!!!!

I am on a show team.
Officially, no more than two adult skiers on the pylon at one time.
With a dock start, I like to draw the line at 8, depending on their weight.
I have done 10
Our team pulled a 14 person pyramid with a 1999 Ski Nautique, 502 Python engine.
MAKE SURE THE NUTS ON THE "U" BOLTS HOLDING THE PYLON ARE TIGHT!
Check them again after big pulls.

I have personally seen pictures of 15 skiers behind a '79 Nautique. I was told all but two started slalom. Not sure if all were tethered to the pylon though and don't really think so. The boat at the time was approx. 2-3 years old. My favorite was watching my uncle behind a Nautique with a modified stern attachment point pulling a delta-wing kite. AWESOME!! You just don't see much kite flying anymore...
