If the Billabong Special Edition is something like the 90s Body Glove Edition I'm not interested at all. I don't give publicity for free to any brand. I want an additional value.

- Current 2005 SV 211, due for upgrade! GS22 or GS24 perhaps? Previous
My new 211 is a signature edition, my Tahoe is an LS edition, there's no M on the model number of my BMW, so it's unlikely that I would spend any extra money an a special edition but I am sure there is a market for it.
The ski fly boats should be produced in limited editions and sold to the open market. I am not sure what they are currently running in those beasts but they sure sound good. My guess is the same supercharged 5.4 setup the is shown in that picture on the previous page? I would like to see a limited edition with more function over form as the cars that Grant mentioned on page 1 deliver. Maybe a slalom boat with laser tracking steering or a wakeboard boat with a pro-level quick fill/drain ballast system. I think very good stereo's will always be an aftermarket thing like they are in cars.
Anybody that wants a boat like mastercraft is producing can take their boat down to a custom painter or vinyl graphics specialist and have something custom done. Personally I feel it lowers the value of the boat. It appears to me that Mastercraft is catering to the Escalade crowd and that's not me. No spinners for me or low profile tires for me.

The Paragon IMO was pretty far out there, I think they are unique, but I wouldnt rush out to buy one, The body glove edition again didnt realy catch my eye either. I like what Tiga did with FOX edition, I dont know much about the FOX edition but other than the graphics on the side and the back that was the only thing that set it off. The 35th boat IMO was a perfict example of how to make a special edition Yes it had some crazy Bling items but it came off with class if you see the boat in person you would understand. The paragon and the body glove were IMO a Joke. and they look dated, The 35th boat will look as good in 10 years as it does now. Yes I agree with mike some of the MC boats seem to be going after the esclade owner market, There stuff is cool though

whitechocolate, the Fox Tige looked sweet. It had a standout graphic, but the colors were fairly conservative. I'm a good friend of the owner of the boat you posted...he just upgraded to a SANTE 8-)
I'd pick up a special edition SANTE as long as it didn't have flamed, tribal, or barbed wire graphics.

No, I do not believe there is a market for "special editions." In my
opinion, buying a correct craft is the special edition. Even if the
Correct Craft does not have all the special bells and whistles, or the
trendy colors, it is still a correct craft, and everyone knows it. Just
as a Ford is not a Mercedes, no other bot is a correct craft.
With that said. I am not a fan of Mastercraft. In fact if I were not
buying a Correct Craft, I would probably buy a Malibu. Nevertheless,
I think MasterCraft is the only company that has ever made a
meaningful special edition boat. The annniversary editions in 1993, 1998,
and 2003 were beautiful. Significantly better looking than the regular
lineup, yet timeless. Folks still look specifically for those boats, and are
willing to pay a premium. When was that last time anyone you know was
looking for a special edition of a CC, Bu , or any other ski boat other
than MC for that matter.

Gotta agree with the Mastercraft edtions, beautiful boats. And love all the bling under the hull. Everyone personalizes thier boats in one way or another. Stereo, tower, bimini, etc. While the "Barbed wire" X-Star may not be my first pick, I like the originality, and some of the detail is amazing. High priced sure, that comes with customizing. I would like to see a Nautique line of add on parts though, the Mastercraft by design book has some pretty cool stuff in it. To each thier own. I like WWII nose art, perhaps a flying tiger edition? The person who said \"Money can\'t buy happiness\" never rode behind an \"OLD\" 210.

gotwake, I remember once when I was real young I saw a Shark Nautique just like that. It had docking lights as eyes, way back when docking lights was something cool and unique, now everybody has them... But it also had that same style sticker of the shark mouth and other stuff too. I thought it was the hottest boat I'veever seen.
I also have to agree about the barbed wire X-Star. I may not buy it, but like you said, it is a step in the right direction regarding the creativity issue. You can tell that down at the facotry the barbed wire boat gets the most attention and care. If CC made something as unique as that and just as classic as that is bling, I'm sure there would be some buyers who would opt to get it.I Nautique, therefore I am.

’06 will be the 45th anniversary of the Ski Nautique, correct?
I wonder if they’ll do a 45th Anniversary Edition Nautique?
In 2011 CC will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Nautique… That should definitely be recognized with an Anniversary Edition.
50th anniversary is gold, correct? Maybe CC could use gold on the boat in some way – gold decals? How about a silver cloud (white) hull with a black primary stripe and a gold secondary stripe, gold decals, black windshield frame, gold bezels around the gauges and gold accents on the wheel and shift lever.
I’d rather see them wait and do a 50th, than see a 45th next year.
Though, I'm still hoping for a "Classic" Ski Nautique like a mention in my previous post...

If 35th hadn't posted a picture of his 197, I was going to because it really speaks to what you guys are getting at here. Like him, I'm not a CC owner, but think they make great boats. I also happen to use a CC dealer for all of my maintenance and wouldn't switch if I had a MC dealer locally. Like some mentioned, I'm not really fond of the overly-blinged x-stars, but to each his own. I prefer more classic look. I look forward to seeing what CC will do for its 45th and 50th. MC releases a limited number of S&S boats about every 5 years or so. My 93 is a 25th anniversary boat, but not a S&S. I was pretty impressed with their 03 S&S offering.1998 Ski Nautique (Red/Silver Cloud), GT-40, Perfect Pass Stargazer 8.0z (Zbox), Acme #422, Tunable Rudder.
