2010 SAN 230 CE - anyone have these problems?

After using our SAN for about 15 hrs we started having problems with the zero off cutting out and/or surging forward. Reading through the forums here, I saw the cavitation issue and chalked it up to that. However, at 20 hrs the zero off quit completely, even the screen wouldn't work. We brought it in for the 25 hr service and the system was completely replaced (great dealer who spent some time on this!)

A recent river trip added another 30 hrs onto the boat - we spent a lot of time wake surfing with the stock ballast and 3-4 extra people, also did plenty of wakeboarding and one episode of barefooting. At 50 hrs the boat started a funny surging on acceleration, but would smooth out without trouble at around 10 mph. A few hrs later it suddenly wouldn't go into reverse or idle. Checked the transmission fluid - dry. Oil was also down about a quart. Dealer has a new transmission on order and mentioned possibly problems with the v-drive.

Two major problems within two months? Lemon or is this normal? We have just switched over to CC from Cobalt where the boats seemed more dependable. Love the wake on the new boat, but still, summer is slipping away.

I have not had any problems with mine, sounds like a simple warranty problem. have you talked with your dealer yet? Since CC changed out the antenna for 2010 models ,for zero off ,mine has work flawlessly.

On our 2010 230 (not CE) the LINC Zero off worked great for the first 15 hours then seemed to stop picking the preset speeds. It is still an intermittent problem still ... sometimes it works other times it does not

After our 25 hour service (at about 30 hours) I noticed an oil water mixture under the motor but level seemed fine so assumed it was spilt oil during service - at 60 hours the engine was down 1 quart so not sure if it is a leak or the engine is using the oil? Dealer seemed a little concerned about the oil level drop

I would not think you should find ANY oil in the bildge on a new boat. I know that there is a update for the Zero Off systems that covers a few issues. I just had mine done at the dealer. Are these the 409 engines?

prior to the transmission problem, I did notice that the boat was down a quart. It had been serviced at 25 hrs, I checked the oil at 40 hrs, and had to add then. Never saw any oily residue.

The zero off had the antenna update as well as the software update prior to the failure. Dealer said the computer system had to be replaced.

We're missing our boat - its beautiful outside today, and Seafair is here!
