I don't have the exact height and we don't pick her up until next week, good weather permetting . I have to store it until our new house is built . I did'nt see any height measurements on the CC site.
RE: 05 210 Height with trailer and Tower folded down
Which trailer did you get? Different trailers will change the height of the boat.
I own and operate Silver Cove Marine, which is an inboard boat restoration, service, and sales facility located in Mooresville, North Carolina. We specializes in Nautiques and Correct Crafts, and also provide general service for Nautiques fifteen years old and older.
If we can be of service to you, please contact us anytime!
RE: 05 210 Height with trailer and Tower folded down
I don't know the actual height of mine ('02 SANTE on a magnum trailer), but it is one of the lower trailers. I had a shoreland'r while my trailer was being built, and to get it in the garage I had to air the tires down, and lower the jaack all the way down while pushing it in the garge by hand. Now with the new trailer it goes in with full tire pressure and on the back of the truck. My garage door is standard "production builder construction" height.
RE: 05 210 Height with trailer and Tower folded down
So its more then 7' but less then 8' ? We were going to have a house built starting the first of the yr , but now the wife has a bad feeling about building it. Long story short the ccr's are not very clear and there's no minimum on sq footage. Anyway I will have to store it at a storage in the meantime and we have'nt picked the boat up so I can't go out and measure it with the tower down.I was just looking for a rough #
RE: 05 210 Height with trailer and Tower folded down
You should probably talk to the dealer and tell him your concerns. I did the same with mine and they made sure I got a trailer that was going to make the boat sit below 7' tall. It's a DHM as well. Chances are they can get you the right trailer for your needs.
RE: 05 210 Height with trailer and Tower folded down
The dealer is off until the 3rd. We had them at DHM paint the trailer to match and a few other custom things.Radial tires ,spare under rear, led lights and prop cage rollers. I guess we could go with a lower profile tire also. The trailer is supposed to be ready by the 4th when we pick it up.
this was a concern for us when we were buying a new boat.
the height came in at 81"-83"(trailer jack height variable) with the tower folded down on a Trailrite trailer for a 2005 210.
picked up a powermover to move it around ( was a little pricey but well worth it).
from what the dealer told me, the extereme trailers torsion arms can be adjusted to affect the height.
btw, my driveway has a slight incline which works to my beneft when backing the boat into the garage - there is about 4"-5" clearence because the rear wheels are higher than the tower when backing it in.
Most garage door openings around here are about 7' , 50% are 8' . A uphill driveway would be a problem on a 7 footer. Did'nt really concern my self with this issue since we were going to build and it was going to be an 8' opening . I think I will get one on those power movers which would make it convienent. They range from $1,000- $2,000 I think?
actually a slight uphill is benefical when backing the boat in... the wheels will be on a higher plane than the tower ( the tower will be lower, we have about 5" of clearence because of the slight incline in our driveway...if it was flat it would be about 1"...
there are only 2 highpoints of the folder tower... so if it close. you might be able to trim the top of the inside molding...
the powermover from powermoverinc.net (went with the ac-6 for $900) has a very cool attachment with will lower the front of the boat and hence lower the overall height ( the powercaster didnt have the attachment and wasnt too helpful in this regard).
the attachment bolts to the side ( i had mine welded...i need to primer and repaint) and holds the post for the powermover. but it does allow the front of the boat to be lowered dramatically, way beyond the height of the jack and hence with a lower front, the tower clears the inside easily( also the bar is removeable as depicted in the pics, it is held with a cotter pin and comes off in seconds).
when i take the boat out i will post pics of the height on the powermover.
After I posted my comment I was thinking (confused :?: ) what is better downhill or uphill. My other boat I just had on the side of the house and covered it , but this will be our baby and we want it tucked away
depends how you put it in.....( no pun intended..)
a incline is great if you back the boat in ( think about the angle - the nose will be lower because the wheels are higher(assuming the garage floor is flat)
We signed all the docs before xmas and if the weather clears up next tue or wed will bring her home. And yes we did buy from Chris and I made sure he knew it was your recomendation. We got the 210 limited with center tank pp, shower heater boat covers bimini....some more I just can't remember right now. We went with midnight blue , white bottom and the DHM trailer will be midnight blue to match. We did the spare under rear , rollers on prop cage led lights, radial tires, pivot tongue. Now my concern is since my wife does'nt want to build this house is will it be under 7' , with the tower folded down. We have a place here in El dorado Hills that will charge us $130 a month to store it indoors, but its more convienent if its at home. We took it out for the demo before we signed and it might just be my excitement but it seemed to run better then the 04 ? There's no difference I know , i'm just being like a kid in a candy store . I was reading the owners manual I downloaded and they want you to break it in pretty hard, which I'm a believer it that theory also .I don't have any pics yet and the reason is we had them put a silver stripe and it did'nt look good so were going with a midnight blue accent stripe.
you should be okay with a 7' opening, however new homes have gaskets and trim on the inside frame that accounts for a 1" or so....
alot will depend on the trailer. a electric dolly might make your life easier since you can really drop the front end angle (lower than the hitch and jack)
