    Winter Storage

    Gang,

Looking to change where I store the boats for the winter. When I lived in the south, I had the room and kept them in my garage. Since I've moved to the north, A. I can only fit one in the garage and B. would like to have the space back. I've been doing some research and found the mines. There are 2 sections 1. Uncontrolled stays at 54 degree F and 2. Controlled stays at 65 degrees F and 65% humidity. Would you think I need to worry about mold mildew in the controlled section? I’m thinking I would just flush the motor with fresh water and not winterize. I’m concerned about the mold. Maybe just buy a lot of damp rid. Any insight or comments?

Agreed. Winterize and throw some damp-rid moisture absorbers in there no matter whether you go with controlled or uncontrolled.
