I agree - it is a great boat with a nice layout. I purchased one a couple years ago and really like it, however, I'm a slalom guy and my wakeboarder is moving on, so it's time to sell and go back to a ski boat.
It has been discontinued. Dealer I just bought a 210 from said it was stuck between the 210 and 230 (and too close to either to distinguish) , I guess sales did not meet expectations.

the 220 was intro'd in 2006 as the supposed successor to the legacy 210. hard core 210 riders wanted a boat that retained the same steep wakes that were the signature of the legacy 210 without the trough, and they wanted more room. i am of the opinion that CC exceeded those expectations with this with the introduction of the 220.
the problem was that the interior was so radically different and progressive from anything out there that it never got a pass from people whom had never spent any time in it. i am guilty for giving the 220 a check in the "F" column when it was first introduced...then i spent a day on one...then i went and bought one.
the only hull that i have ridden that approaches the legacy 210's wake is the 220, and it does it without the ACL eating trough. it can be a little finicky side to side, but if you have a movable weight (cooler, pop bag, anything) beside the driver's seat, you can dial it in immediately. the surf wave is the easiest to build in the industry. from the sun deck forward, the 220's interior is much more usable and conducive to a full day on the lake than my 236.
i think CC hosed everyone that bought an 06-09 220 when they discontinued it after only 4 years. with the negative press on the interior, CC's decision to eliminate that 220 lends credit to those arguments (albeit false), and has driven the resale of 220s through the floor. if you are in the market for used a 220 may be the best value out there....
I seriously debated this before buying. I ended up finding a new 2009 for quite a good price - yes I could have found a 220 for less, but for the difference - and getting the new warranty, the 230 worked for me. I also asked other members here and tried other forums and could never get a definite on the wake. I heard many times that the wake was too hard to dial in, and many had issues with the wake washing out. At any rate - I feel the 220 was still a great boat, just decided for the 230 for me.
aren't the 226 and 220 the same boat? just like the 230 and 236 were?
no. they are roughly the same size but they are two different boats. And the 226 has been redesigned to match the 216v, but didn't get as much press out of it. So I don't know if the 226 will fill the shoes, but that may be what CC was thinking. What I do know if EVERYBODY is getting lean as a result of the last couple of years, so if it's not a big seller, it's gone. Maybe they just didn't get enough sales.
I found a brand new 2007 220 earlier this year and bought it in April. I think I got a great deal on it and it was the boat I wanted. Perhaps I hosed myself for down the road when I want to sell it but I'm thinking I'll keep it for about 5 year, possibly more depending on how things go. I love the 220 and it suits me perfectly. None of my buddies can even come close to the surf wake I can put out.
I sold my 01 Air and picked up an 06 220 for 40K with 80 hrs and has everything you could want except a heater. The wake is easy to fix on the fly. My wife loves the days just anchored, with 3-6 kids playing off the back you feel like you have all kinds of room. Unlike a car that is halted, I felt confident that if I ever needed parts they would be readily avail. as they are used in other models. Resale is relevant, I was looking at 03-06 210's in the mid 30's, 07 210's were near 50k so I think I will be happy for years to come. They dont make alot of the older models anymore, yet I still see PN members looking for them!!! Must be the BRAND
