Replaceing Zero Off display in SN200

Zero off has sent me a new display to replace my faulty one under warranty. Does anyone know how
the best way to remove the old one is. Its now in the side console. My boat is up north so I don't have it
here to figure it out. Any help would be great.
My dealer would do it for free under warranty but its a long drive to them and back so I would rather try myself.

I have not done it on the 200, but all the others are held on with a U shaped bracket held by 2 small nuts. Once you get those off, you should be able to slide it out and remove the electrical plug.

Just checked mine. You can reach behind the panels without removing any of them.

Is it two wing nuts that hold it in place?

Hex nuts, but they are not that tight. I'll be out there again tomorrow afternoon and will take some sockets to see what size they are. I didn't try, but all the ones I have seen have been able to be removed by hand.

Have you talked with anyone at CC about these issues? I think it would be good to keep them involved. This is obviously a rare occurrence and I'm sure they would be interested.

                      ZO Head unit swap

Two nuts finger tight, you won't need a wrench. It is easier if you are left handed, but even though I am right handed I can have one out in 30 seconds and back in in 5 minutes. (It is a little trickier to get the lock washers on the posts without falling off before you put the nuts back on. Use the wing nuts from the replacement unit, they are easier). Take the nuts off, pull the head unit out the top to remove the wiring harness plug (easier than fighting it from behind), plug the new head unit into the wiring harness from the top, push the new head unit into the hole and get it to the right angle, place the bracket over the studs from behind, put the wing nut and lockwashers on each in one move. Make sure the studs are the right distance apart using the bracket on the replacement unit before putting back in. A flashlight or drop light helps you see the bracket alignment from the rear.

Yes Dave I have. This week they will get my full attention especially on the transmission matter.
I have had alot wrong with this boat and have not mentioned it all. I have owned enough of these boats to know
CC is the best product but Quality control is slipping and they need to look into it. I don't want to take over this forum with all my problems but its crazy to have this many. My last 196 a 2003 was awesome, no problems at all that I can remember. So when push comes to shove this upcoming week is on!
