I was putting the cover on my 2009 216v when I notice a 4 inch crack in the tower support base on my FCT 3 tower. I know it was not there the previous week, at least not a open crack. We only wakeboard and wakesurf with the boat so I know I'm well within the rated use for the tower. Has this happened to anyone else? I already contacted my dealer and will be talking with the maintence guy in the morning. I attached 4 photos of the crack.

Looks to me like you might not have had the freeze modification done. I bet water froze in that tower leg last winter and weakened it.

Thanks for the information. After reading the recall thread the crack makes sense to me now. I'm now wondering how enough water gets into the tower leg to freeze and cause the problem. To add to the problem, I had my boat at the dealer this spring for some warranty work and they did not do the recall. I'll be speaking with the dealer and Nautique tomorrow.Comment

The fct3 on my 2009 cracked as well. Was replaced under warranty. Took a while though because roswell had a bunch to replace at the time.2012 Axis A22 - on order
