    2008 210 Questions

I have a couple quick questions for you guys.

First, for those with reversible Jabsco pumps do you ever have a problem with some of your tanks filling? I have been having a LOT of trouble getting my belly tank to fill and even drain sometimes once full. I also have noticed for about the past 3 or 4 weekend that the port side ballast is having trouble filling as well. Normally I can get the starboard ballast to fill with the boat sitting still and not running, and then normally get the belly and the port side to start filling once the engine is running in idle/in gear or when on plane going down the lake.

Second, I had some friends on the boat and we were surfing and one person who was sitting on the sunpad had their heel bounce on a bump and a screw that holds the shock to the side sunpad locker stuck through the vinal and into his foot. Has anyone else had any issues with screws being too long on their boat?

Thanks and I hope to talk to a dealer near by this week about everything, but just wondering if anyone else is having these issues.

I have the same boat and I was cleaning it earlier this summer and stepped on that same screw. Luckily it didn't poke through the vinyl or anything, but I definitely felt it. Let me know what Nautique does about it if you don't mind. Thanks!

No probs with the pumps so far - touch wood! Different story with the screws, check this out and make sure to scroll to top of page. http://www.planetnautique.com/vb3/sh...7688#post97688
My buddy had the same problem and swapped out all the screws for shorter ones - all 3 sun pads on my boat were replaced under warranty!!

I would think since your boat is two years old it's time to replace the ballast pump impellers. I think they are using the green impellers now and I'm sure White Lake Marine can hook you up. Easy change-out on a new 210.

These are the same theory as the engine impeller (which you should change annualy) except they are reversable.

I second the impeller thought. I have had a blade or two tear off of my old (yellow) impellers and it did the same thing as you are describing. I went to the greens now and havent had a problem since. but I tend to inspect them pretty frequently. Is anybody using any lubricant to try to extend their lifespan or make it less of an issue if they are run dry?

Thanks for the advice on the impellers. They are the yellow ones, but I have checked them out since they are so easy to get to. No blades are missing but will try that out.

I am hoping to contact someone about the sun pad issues this week. I was told there is a new dealer in the Lake Norman, NC area that is linked to White Lake I may check out, if not I would prob rather take my boat to White Lake.

              highrock,

yeah over in mooresville is race city marine, http://www.racecitymarine.com/ ... i spoke to them on the phone several months back and they seem to be knowledgable and are long time nautique enthusiasts. the times i have driven by they had several newer super airs sitting out front. website says they are the new charlotte metro dealer and mentions their link to white lake ... i have not however had anything done there yet

[QUOTE=highrock;147458]Thanks for the advice on the impellers. They are the yellow ones, but I have checked them out since they are so easy to get to. No blades are missing but will try that out.

I had installed the yellow impellers on my old Mastercraft and found they did not flow very well compared to the black impellers I had removed. The yellows were better only in the sense that they could be run dry for a good while before the breaker would trip.

I'm figuring the green impellers are better all the way around. They work great in my 210 and the entire ballast system in the 210 works better than my 04 MC X2. That system was finicky.
