Have put in an order for a new SN 200 Closed Bow with the ZR 409 engine; just wondering if anyone has tested the top speed of this boat/engine configuration with the following propellers:
AC 13x14 (3 blade)
AC 12.5x15 (4 blade); this prop comes standard.
Both props are AWSA approved.
According to Waterskimag.com, top end they logged was 45mph with the ZR 409 at 5,500 rpm.
I'm interested in more speed (if possible). How many extra mph (if at all) would the 3 blade net out? Not planning on using this boat for competition so am willing to go with non AWSA approved prop so long as specs are endorsed for this particular engine.
