Walk through door on '09 230 san

Does anyone else think this is a horrible design?? I have had nothing but trouble with it. Do they make a removeable wind guard that just slides in and out??

firs two things i did with my 230:

    1. remove walk through wind screen door (i have tonneau cover for the bow that is 3x as effective and doesnt rattle or get in the way of port side storage door)

    2. remove trash can from port side storage door and move it behind the driver's seat for easy access like on the 220.

I think it's a great idea and for me works flawlessly . I have had the canvas snap in my other boats which worked well but in my opinion the fix door is better and is always there when you need to stop the cold.

I can't understand how you are happy with it. The screws continually back out of the metal slide plate. It rattles and makes it a pain to get into the access door. My Malibu had a tinted plexiglass piece that slid into small sleeves mounted on either side of the walk through. simple and easy. Do any of the Nautique models use a different style windguard???

sorry about the screws backing out, maybe a little liquid nut lock would prevent that. Mine has always been snug with no rattles even on double ups. Nautigue does make the the canvas one that snaps in but to me that is an inconvenience over the solid hinge door which folds out of the way when not needed, but there in a second ,to close the pneumonia hole.

+1 on the bow cover. Not that we need to worry about the cold for 90% of the year here in AZ. supposed to be 109-110 this weekend.

The door is a bit inconvenient for accessing the trash and it does rattle some, but it sure works well when the temps cool down.

Is the 230 the only model with this set up?? If not, what do the other models use for a windscreen?
